My Scouting Life
As I am the eldest in my brothers and sisters, I have a lot of duties to go with. Besides, I’ve a spirit to seek knowledge and progress in life too. I am well known of the sacred relations like friendship and fond of having good friends. I am grateful to Allah that He gifted me with marvelous friends. A group of sincere buddies make a chill talk and a special time is passed.
Once I was at home. My friend, Arslan, came to me and said, “Come with me, I want to take you somewhere.” I took permission from my mother and we went away. When we reached the destination, other friends were already there and they seemed to be busy towards some special task. As per friendship code, I was welcomed with funny sentences. Then Arslan told me that this was Scouts Headquarter and the preparations for the Independence Day celebrations were on their way. We also met a senior scout leader Sir Sajjad Hussain Bhatti. He was in search of boys for scouting so he became very happy to meet me. I was also exclaimed with happiness because scouting is a very good and friendly movement. A skit was preparing for the function in which Daniyal was playing a role as Allama Iqbal and Husnain as Quaid e Azam. Sir Sajjad looked at me and put the boater of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan on my head and gave big round eyed glasses to me. It was so funny. All were laughing to see me like this. They put witty and humorous sentences on me. But then Sir selected me for this role and said now you are Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. I became very happy on having participation in function. I did my best for the skit, everyone liked it.
After this, I wanted to be a permanent scout so I joined Zakariya Scouts Open Group. In December, this group organized a one day Scout Rally in which I was included in the management. It was also a great fun doing this job. Rally was to be held in Govt. Muslim High School Multan. One day before the program, we set a room as our office and store. Preparations were going on when Sir Sajjad said

One might wonder what a fifteen-year-old was doing standing atop a thirty-yard dumpster, chainsaw in hand, and yelling, "Give me more! It can hold more!" During my ninth grade year I saw an opportunity to complete my Eagle Scout project, helping the Lenape Valley Church remove massive piles of downed pine branches fallen during an early March ice storm, creating an eyesore and complaints from the local community. The project I was tackling was Herculean, and I, compared to now, very inexperienced at leading people. But it is Boy Scout’s duty to give back to his community and I had promised that the enormous piles of branches and snow would be gone before Easter.…

Sweat drizzles down my skin as it exits my pores trying to cool my heated body. The blood rushes through my veins pumping blood with the consistent pounding of my heart. Every breath, every second, every action, every thought; I am standing where everything counts. Artificial turf and grass crumpled beneath my torn black shoes and the thick silence only cut by the timed chants from afar. This is the last moment I will stand here for this reason. This is the last moment I will stand here with my family. This is the last moment of my marching band career. Many will say that this was a special group of kids, others will say that this year was a show that was made to make it. I, on the other hand, will say that this was because of seven years of dedication.…

One of the most relatable experiences I do have is being a Den Chief for Cub Scouts in which I help out the Adult Leader in meetings. I guide and help ou the younger scouts ages 6-11. So that shows how I have the background experience in the type of work that's done, and I have worked on this type of leadership role for a year now and I have been successful. Which overall is why I would be great for the role of a guide.…

Boy Scouts was in a sense a skeleton key for me. There were endless doors of opportunity that could be opened. I had access to many leadership and volunteer opportunities that I otherwise would not of had. I worked countless hours collecting food and working at the nearby food pantry in Brandon. I worked on projects led by fellow scouts in my troop and picked up trash in the local park in Rosendale more times than I can count. I’ve learned many skills in scouting besides the stereotypical knots and campfires that usually come to mind. I learned leadership skills, public speaking skills. Heck, I learned how to organize people to achieve a common goal when I had to lead my service project in the community. Scouts strengthened my religion, reinforced…

An event I've experienced that was life changing was when I obtained the rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America. It was an affirmation of years of disciplined work and study to have such a prestigious honor bestowed upon me. In scouting, I developed various moral and ethical tenants that have shaped my foundation in life. Tenants like integrity, honor, reverence, faith in God, a man's role and his responsibility to his family, and a nearly innumerable quantity of experiences growing under the leadership of the Boy Scouts of America have molded me into who I am today in my very core of being. The realization of my dream to become an Eagle Scout took 11 years to obtain, so I'm no stranger to adversity or perseverance. To my memory,…
