Brave New World warns of the dangers of giving the state control over new and powerful technologies. One illustration of this theme is the rigid control of reproduction through technological and medical intervention, including the surgical removal of ovaries, the Bokanovsky Process, and hypnopaedic conditioning. Another is the creation of complicated entertainment machines that generate both harmless leisure and the high levels of consumption and production that are the basis of the World State’s stability. Soma is a third example of the kind of medical, biological, and psychological technologies that Brave New World criticizes most sharply.…

On Thursday February 9, 2012, at Mario’s Bowling and Entertainment Palace 7pm, the two teams that played were Scotia Trust and Commonwealth Bank. I did like my experience at the alley it was a great one, that night was another nail-biter for Team Scotia Trust. They reigned victorious by upsetting Commonwealth Bank the number two team in the league by winning two games and losing one, pushing them to the number three position. Barbara Scott turned in a stellar performance by bowling her highest game of the season 180 and she was assisted by Verlene Harris, who helped won the game that night. The final scores of that night, was Scotia Trust with 300 points and Commonwealth Bank with 270 points. What I didn’t like about my experience was the fact that the arrangement was not organized at all. The game was supposed to start promptly at 7pm but they couldn’t, because most of the team mates didn’t arrived as yet. So unfortunately, the game had to start at 8pm, for most of the team mates being so late that was really like an inconvenience. My thoughts on how this event could be educational for students, by teaching you teamwork. This sport would help you learn to work with teammates, both good and bad ones.…

This source, illustrates three main groups based on “why people abuse animals.” The first group is considered the least abusive because these people do not realize what they are doing to the animals. The second group is the next biggest group of animal abusers because these people intentionally hurt animals do to peer pressure or to impress someone. However, the third group is the worst because these people enjoy hurting animals and they believe it gives them power. This is significant because this source breaks down the types of animals abusers in the world based on their actions and behaviors and not on race or age. I would use this kind of research to place my examples of people who committed animal abuse and show how they would fit into these groups.…

If the government decided to conduct an experiment on the American people, and all form's of computerized technology was banned the world would probably end up going crazy. The reason why I say this is because there will be no way for people to call the police or use GPS and even more. People also would not be able to pay bills online. People who do not have a car paying bills online would be easier to them. If I was to have a family in a different country and if they were to get hurt, I would not know because I can't use a phone. The world would be very chaotic if there was no technology. I don't think any one can live in a world with out no computer based technology. There will be more deaths "and" people will become sick. Your probably wondering why I said people will get sick. 'Well' the reason why I said this is because some medicine is made on computer based technology and the process to make medicine sometime is sent on computers. All the people who use computer based technology would lose their "jobs." If the government actually really decide to do this experiment there will be very few jobs and people would become unemployed and poor. The government would also lose some of their job's because their job's use's computer based technology too. This will also affect kids learning education and ability. What I mean by that is that some students are homed schooled and their school is on a computer, laptop or any computer based technology. If this was banned students and children will not have a good education. Without an education you can't make it any where in life. Banning computer based technology may cause people to go on strike and even start riots. This will not put me but every one in danger. Riots can put everyone in danger including baby's and can cause a lot of deaths. It would be just a shame to see a baby who hasn't even had a chance to live life the right way to become deceased. The government would become responsible for a lot of deaths. Most…

In ancient India, schools were in the form of Gurukuls. Gurukuls were traditional Hindu residential schools of learning; typically the teacher's house or a monastery. During the Mughal rule, Madrasahs were introduced in India to educate the children of Muslim parents. British records show that indigenous education was widespread in the 18th century, with a school for every temple, mosque or village in most regions of the country. The subjects taught included Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, Theology, Law, Astronomy, Metaphysics, Ethics, Medical Science and Religion.…
