MY FAVOURITE ROOM
My house is quite large. It has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, a study’s room, a living room and a dining room.
My favourite room is my bedroom. I love it because it is the only room in my house where I can do whatever I want. After a long hard day, all I want to do is go up to my cosy bedroom and listen to some music, lie in my bed or even watch a T.V or maybe a relaxing film. This room is very special to me because I’m being there for over ten years. It is a part of me. It is full of my personal possessions and it has been decorated with myself.
So what does this special room look like? Well, it's quite big, but not too much. It's big enough to hold a double bed, which take up the back wall of the room. Opposite of the bed there is a dressing table with a large mirror. This is the place where I sit every morning to choose the clothes that I’m going to put that day. On the left of my room is full of ancient toys, games, clothes and books. My television and video recorder are on a table and I have a selection of my favourite videos in a wardrobe: Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing... On the left hand of my bed, to the left of the door, I have my stereo. Also I have photos of my friends and family. These photos bring back memories of happy times spent.

The thing that makes my room uniquely mine is my sponge bob square pants covers and my transformer Minnie blanket. I adore sponge =bob it is an abstention I have the whole set the pillow cases, blanket pictures, and cover sheet blanket. the transformer blanket may be a little old and ripped a but my father gave it to me after he left for a one year to Iraq and it has a lot of sentimental value I can never throw it away even till the day I grow out of it I make sure every day I see it layed out on my bed it is what makes my room…my room.…

In addition to it, on a table against a wall placed cupcakes and candies which make the ground floor smells warm and inviting and blessedly familiar. There is a pool table on one side of the lounge and a table tennis table on the other side beside couches. In the middle are three elevators and from across is a wall of mailboxes. It would take approximately a minute to get to the floor that I live in, the 20th floor. Step out of the elevator after the sound “ding”, the carpeted floor gives it a wonderfully homely character. My room is a double split room, it is allocated evenly on both sides and is furnitured with essentials such as closet, table and mattress on the base. As I jump on the bed, the bed-springs does not creak and the mattress is very soft to lay on. When open up the window, the sound of the city mixed with the sound of wind can be heard clearly along with the sunset and city view outside my window is quite a sight to behold. The throw pillow in bright global textiles and the traditional patterned bedding that I brought all the way from my own country, China, lightened this little room. All these small parts all take parts to build up a home feeling which is one of the main reasons why Lawrinson Hall is my favorite building on campus.…

In the short story “My Parent’s Bedroom” by Uwem Akpan, the country of Rwanda is having a civil war between the Hutus and Tutsis, the primary trying to eradicate the latter. The Hutus force Papa to kill Maman, which she convinces him that it was only solution. However, it wasn’t the best choice in his family’s situation. The Wizard and the Hutus arrive to ensure that Papa slays his Tutsi spouse, Maman. Papa murders her to please the crowd, “If you let any Tutsi live, you’re dead. And then they begin to leave, some patting him on the back,” (27). I find this to be the only major decision made in the story because it severs the whole family’s connection with one another, and especially leaves Monique traumatized. There were few consequences,…

My home is your typical Cape Code style. It’s gray in color with Maroon shutters. There is a 2 car attached garage. Flowers, bushes and other landscape surround the house. The front living room window is a large bay window that allows a lot of sunlight into the home when the curtains are open. Description of My Room

Well, there is not much to say about my small (7 m2) room. When you go in, first what is visible is a big window and the nice scenery outside with many trees and a kindergarten full of children during spring and summer. You could feel the calming atmosphere of this small space because of the light blue colour, that reminds of light blue sky , which is quite relaxing. On the ceiling there are phosphorescent stars and the moon , so at night it is even more psychodelic. There is a nice, white big table on the left which is coverd with dark blue (I would say even garnet) top, on which I put my laptop and xerox copies from the College. Under the table there is a small corner cupboard where I keep some old papers, which probably I will never read again… There is as well a stacking hi-fi which goes loud many times during a day. I also have garnet paper box when there are clean sheets of paper. There is also a desk lamp with pencils and pens put in (a special construction of the lamp allows that) Above the table there is a bookshelf mainly with books connected with yoga and healthy lifestyle as well as an English dictionary. In the left corner of the room there is a huge Pink Panther which is hanging from the walls in a funny posture. On the ledge (which is in front of the door) there is a small plant (I don’t know a name). On the right side of the room there is a a foldable bed plus shelves unit. It’s huge and white, but very handy in such a small room like this. On this piece, there are two ferns andone statue of Lao Tze – who was a famous Chinese philosopher. Above that bed there is a huge painting, hanging on the wall, in blue and white colours, with a woman from fantasy world – she looks like a beautiful elf. The floor is covered with nice woodblock and under the ledge lays a yoga mat and the blanket which I use for exercising my body, breath and mind. And this is all which I have in my small cosy room in Rubinkowo…

I like my bedroom the most in my house because it is a place I can study and relax. Right at the corner of the room is a queen size bed which takes most of the space of my room. The bedspread is light pink and matches with the dark pink flower blanket. My iPod is always under my pink pillow so that I can listen to music or watch a movie when I am about to go to sleep. Next to the bed is a two drawer wood nightstand with a classic night lamp and a pink alarm clock on its top. Above the top of my bed is a window that I open every morning for the sunshine go through and to hear the birds sing. The wall is painted white which makes my room look a little bit bigger. In the left corner of the room is a closet which is half organized. My clothes and bags are separated by a shelf. The clothes are hung in order by color and look very neat under the shelf, but the bags on the shelf are pretty messy. At the back of the room is a small desk which I use every day for studying and reading. Whenever I get home, the first thing I do is go in my room and lie down on my bed. It makes me feel very relax and peaceful when I just look around my room or through the window. In a word, although my bedroom is pretty small, it is the place that I can enjoy my own world every…

My room is my one and only domain where I carry out various leisure activities such as studying, watching films and television, listen to music, talk on the phone, surf the internet, etc. My room is painted all pink; also, most of the things in my room are all pink. As someone enters my room, the first thing that he or she will see is a cream dresser with a stylish design coated on it. In it, lie all my clothes and personal belongings. Then on the other side of my room, a black plasma television resided on the wall which I enjoy watching my favorite movies, and television shows. Opposite of that, is my full size bed which has pink covers. Also right behind it is the room window, which has sparkly and pink curtains. Next to my bed I have a nightstand where my stereo is on top of it; also on one of the drawers I have my favorite book. On the wall next to my bed, I have a huge sign that says "PRINCESS", and around it are pictures from my sweet fifteen. Across from my bed I have my studying and relaxing area where I have a pink desk with my laptop and printer. Right next to it I have a beanbag chair with reading books around it, and that's where I relax, read, and study. Then I have a walk-in closet where I have lots of shoes, clothes, school supplies, and personal belongings. My room is my absolute favorite room in the house, that's where I study and relax. My dream room

Have you ever thought about what your dream room would be like? I know I have. I always pictured my room to be kind of like Batman’s lair, my secret man cave, where I could do things on my own terms. It would be a place where I wouldn’t have to act a certain way for people. It would have a gigantic closet that would be pretty much as big as the room itself. My room would not only be a room where I slept, it would be my sanctuary, my haven.…
