My Pets
Pets are wonderful. It is great to feed them and pet them. I also have beautiful pets.

My pet dog’s name is Muthu. He is from the German shepherd family. Some people think that this kind of dogs is very fierce and hard to manage. But Muthu is very nice and loving. He always follows his master’s orders. At night we let him free and he guards our house. He doesn’t like to sit simply in his kennel, bored. So, in the evening my Dadichan takes him for a walk. He wags his tail and licks me when I go to see him. I love Muthu very much.

I have 1 cat and 3 kittens:- Varavarnnini is the mother cat and she is now more than 8 years. But she is still very healthy. She always keeps purring under my leg. She gave birth to Kunjan. He has a cute white chutti on his neck which makes him look adorable. He was a cute black kitten. Varavarnnini trained her kittens to go to bathroom, regularly. Not at home, in the garden!
When she feels that her kitten is able to look after itself she ignores it.

So my Kunjan grew into a brave and powerful cat and he even caught birds larger than him. But one day he was very unhappy and did not bother to look at me. I saw bubbles blowing from his nose and called Dadichan.
He contacted the doctor and told me that Kunjan was suffering from Pneumonia.
We gave him Medicine though everyone thought it was of no use. For making me forget about Kunjan my Dadichan brought me a beautiful Chinese toy with a cute white and brown cat and her 3 kittens. We all wished that a cute cat like that would arrive and the next day a white and brown kitten arrived home and that’s my Nunni. Soon Kunjan was alright and I was even happier that now I had 2 kittens. But Nunni didn’t know how to go to bathroom and her bathroom was our home. But everyone still loved her. Varavarnnini hated Nunni because it was not her child.

Then one day Kunjan came under my Mama’s bed spitting blood and

This is my cat ‘‘Buttercup’’. You might wonder: Why that name? Well, when I founded him, it was unavoidable to match his muddy yellow coat with the bright flower. He had a mashed-in nose, half of one ear missing and eyes the color of rotting squash. According to my older sister, Katniss, Buttercup was the world’s ugliest cat but it did not matter, because I knew that in the bottom of her heart she was starting to love him. Besides, he was a great help at home, for he was a born mouser. So, we did not have vermin problems anymore. Furthermore, Buttercup was very special for me; he made me feel safe when I had nightmares during the…

In “The Black Cat,” a man develops a volatile temper and an extreme dislike for all living things. He and his wife had many pets, but one black cat stood out from the rest. Its name was Pluto. It was the man’s favorite playmate for many years; but eventually, he began to feel deeply annoyed by all of his animals. So much so, that he neglected and abused them. But, his cat Pluto was different. It never received the mistreatment that the others did. According to the man, when his rage and intolerance grew too strong, Pluto could sense it and knew to keep its distance. One night, when the man returned home from a night of heavy drinking, “the fury of a demon” (Poe 706) possessed him. He grabbed the cat by its throat and “deliberately cut one of its eyes from the socket” (Poe 706). Still unsatisfied, the man hung the cat from a tree, to be…

I believe you can make a dog with puppies also take care of kittens by giving the kittens to the dog after the puppies are born. It may also be good if the kittens were orphans. For example: In the passage “Unusual Animal Relationships”, when it talks about the relationship between the dog and the orangutan, it explains how the orangutan (Suryia) became “orphaned after losing his parents”, and it wasn’t until he met the dog (Roscoe) that Suryia became happy, and Roscoe became his friend. Going back to the kittens, they may want parents so much, that they will be excited to have the dog as a mother. Plus, the dog, being the good mother she is, may care less about the fact that she now has more babies to take care of. Especially ones that are…

As I began to observe my toy poodle Moca, whose name is owed the fact she’s silky and strangely the color of a Mocha Latte. At first glance I notice Moca like to watch me and if this was her paper as much as she observes me, she could write for days. Moca is very intelligent and very aware of her surroundings. She will inform you that there is no food or water in her bowls by scratching at the one that empty as if she saying I’m not going to stop until you get up and fill this bowl once you’ve picked up the bowl the fun begins. She starts whining and jumping up and down like she’s on a pogo stick trying to rush you. When it’s just me and Moca I tend to talk to her a lot and I’ve observed on a deeper level that she really is listening and a lot of things she really does understand. For instance, when I catch her doing wrong and I say “Get in your cage” she hangs her head in shame and proceeds to the cage.…

“Beneath My House” by Louise Erdrich, is a literary essay with an expressive approach. Erdrich narrates the day she rescues a kitten from beneath her house, despite the fact that she does not even like cats. Her maternal instincts take over when she hears the kitten cry, which causes her to do whatever it takes to rescue the kitten. Then, the author analyzes the event and she expresses her emotional response. Through the use of description and narration, Erdrich allows for the audience to imagine the rescue of the kitten “beneath her house.” The overall theme is the act of being born.…

Conradin, an abnormal a sickly ten year old boy who lives with his cousin and guardian, Mrs. De Ropp, secretly takes care of a polecat-ferret whom he calls Sredni Vashtar. He invents a religion of his own with Sredni Vashtar as the god, a merciless and vengeful god. Mrs. De Ropp notices that Conradin has been visiting the shed in the garden (where the ferret and a Houdan hen live) and announces to Conradin that the hen was sold and taken during the night. Distressed, Conradin begs his god to do something for him. His cousin notices that Condradin's visits to the shed do not cease and decides to clear out whatever Conradin is keeping in the shed. Conradin is ordered to stay in the house, but he defiantly calls out a hymn: "Sredni Vashtar went forth, his thoughts were red thoughts and his teeth were white. His enemies called for peace, but he brought them death. Sredni Vashtar the Beautiful." Later, he sees a great ferret with dark wet stains around its mouth emerge out of the shed and prowl out of the garden. While people screamed outside, Conradin makes himself a piece of toast.…
