I learned a lot from my experiences as an On-the-Job Trainee of Felis Resort Complex. First of all, I’m very much gratified for the support and understanding of my superiors especially on times when I committed mistakes. More than any learning thought in school, I learned to be with others, to work with people. I’m very grateful that they exposed me so much on what I must know regarding the work which suits my course. I’m very thankful that they treat me like them and they trust me with my work.
I actually learned on how to make up the bed and cleaned the entire room with their standard operating procedure (SOP). I also served guest in dining area. I was also trained to prepare and decorate convention halls and functioned room for an event. I learned through experience, on how to interact and communicate with people. How to handle guest request and even more guest complains. I appreciate so much the working environment I had within the company because it helps me absorbed what I need to know.
The everyday experiences I had in this company are really most treasured. The knowledge I obtained here are beyond compare than any other experiences I acquired from school and supplementary learning from books. What I had here will always be with me and rest assured I will apply what I’ve in every circumstance that I may have encounter. Now it’s easier for me to determine the task that needs prioritization. If I’m going to look back on what I am before I could say that now I am someone that is more competent. I’m more open minded .I accept critic’s opinions and consider it as a positive way of giving myself a motivation to become better.
One of the most important things I’ve learned is that talent alone is not enough. It is important, but it is no

Ivancevich (2010) notes that the most widely used method of training is on-the-job training. “It is estimated that more than 60 percent of training occurs on the job” (p. 403).
