My Mom Inspires Me
Ashley Emmert 1/31/13 Mrs. Fenton 7B

Everyone in this world has someone who means a lot to them. For me, the most important person in my life is my mom. My mom has inspired me in many ways. She is always guiding me to do the right thing; she supports me and my decisions and tells me to believe in myself. Therefore, my mom is the most important person for me. The word “mother” means everything to me. I remember when I was little I would always be with my mom and she would always take care of me when I got sick. She taught me how to speak, read, and write sentences; and also taught me how to be a good person. When I did something wrong, she explained to me why I can’t do that. When I have problems with friends in school and I did not know who to talk with, she was the one I could open up to and tell her how I felt. She told me how to solve these conflicts and pointed out how the conflicts started in the first place. Ever since I could remember, my mom is everything for me; doctor, teacher, friend, advisor, and many more. When I did not know which choices to make, I usually asked my mom. I know my mom will always be behind me one-hundred percent. It is a good feeling. The only person that always listened to me was my mom. She never acted like, “how many times I need to tell you,” or “just choose something—I don’t care!” Instead, she always explained how each of the things is different and guided me along the way. However, the decisions are mine to make, and whether I become successful or not in the future depends on me. But, she will love me unconditionally. My mother has always been a very strong role model to me, and growing up with someone like her to look up to has made me who I am. She has

How many to be mothers would drop out of college just to take care of their new born baby? Not many. Some might have their mothers watch their child, but my mother, Patty, she wanted to spend time with us, rather than go to school. She worked a lot while I was growing up. My older sister would take care of me and my brother.…

My mother is a person who taught me how to live life without feeling helpless and with pride. She does such a wonderful job educating me to be a good person in life. I’ve learned from her that problems and sufferings are part of life and if they were not part of our life we wouldn’t know the real meaning of happiness. Whenever I feel sad or upset and even when I feel so happy I always talk with her just to share it with her. Also, one of the strongest reasons why I greatly admire her is her value, and respect she lives her life by.…

All throughout my childhood I have been closer to my mom than I am to my father. She has been an amazing friend to me, but an even better parental figure. Laying down the rules for me and establishing boundaries when needed. It is because of the love and respect I have for my mother that I am now cautious of the choices I make. I cherish her approval and fear her disappointment in me. I feel confident that all the life lessons she has taught me and the advice she has given me, will continue to shape my standards and values in life.…

First of all, my mom is one of the two great people who inspire me. The reason I say this is because she is an independent strong beautiful woman. She has her flaws like everyone else but they’re hard to spot for me. She inspires me to be the best I can be and she believes that I can do anything if I try. She tells my brother and I that we will be successful if we educate ourselves well and importantly, if we want to. She inspires us to believe in ourselves and do the best we can. If I did not have my mother, it would have been hard because I wouldn’t have this perfect woman to teach me whether something is right or wrong. I can count on my mom and I will always look up to her and respect her. The love she has for me is impossible to explain in words and her love makes me want to love my future children the way she loves me. I think I will be able to because a mother’s love is just beautiful. She herself is a very confident, nice, smart, optimistic person, so that inspires me to be just like her. The way she is so different than other people is awesome.…

I can only aspire to be as generous a person as her. After I saw how amazing it is to be generous I joined many volunteering places such as friend ship circle which is an organization for children with special needs, where I can help the lives of some of the truly amazing and special children who need help. To care for those children for even one moment is priceless. I began volunteering in eleventh grade, and although it is some times hard to work with special needs children, it is rewarding to know that I can be a positive influence in their lives. My mother told me that no matter where you are you can open your doors to help others. in my future college experience I hope to continue to do kindness…
