There are many things that have happened to me throughout my life that take me back to the origin of my leadership philosophy. Growing up, my father was in sales. He explained to me how he started from the very bottom, and made his way up to what he was now. My dad's story is one of the best stories out there. I have worked there for a year now and loved it! This past summer I was promoted into a Supervisor position after only working there for one year. This was the start of where my leadership philosophy became. Receiving this job was so scary to me because I was still somewhat known as the new girl. While many people say their leadership, philosophy was formed while playing a high school sport, which I did play many sport and were also the caption of those teams, but my philosophy was for sure formed when I became a Supervisor. There are many things that shape us into how we see things, do things, and as people in general as we grow up, but he has shaped me into the type of leader that I want to become. I also see my type of leadership in my siblings as well. My younger sister Grace, is the captain of her volleyball team. Growing up, Grace has always been the best one on her team. No matter what sport she played. While Grace could be known as rude, bossy, and not a team player but she never was. She always remained humble, and used fearlessness collaboration with her teammates on how they could improve as a team. I also see it in my older sister Taylor. Taylor is currently studying Elementary Education here at Iowa. She is also a mentor for the Reach Program which is the students with disabilities on campus. Taylor needs and has this type of leadership philosophy to advance in her career, and lastly, I see it in my mom. I actually see it in my mom the most. Even more then my dad sometimes. When my mom was in high school she was the caption of every sport she played. From volleyball to softball. When she got into college she joined a sorority like I did. She ended up becoming the Vice president of Phi Sigma Sigma at Illinois State. Now the past 5 years my mom has been the head boss of a Day Care (Volunteer work). Adding on to the pile she does, she also volunteers at our church and
