My Leadership Philosophy
Leadership is an important role in most, if not in all communities, families, and/or school. The role of a leader is that of a strong individual who looks at the big picture, who is goal oriented, and who is driven by a cause. In the community and family I am involved in, I take on the leader role. The management I provide has made a positive difference in the lives of others, including - but not limited to - my family and school courses. My leadership and services have made a major impact on my nine year old brother and fourteen year old cousins. The things that I do in school and society affects the way my family looks up to me. For example, maintaining a good GPA, volunteering in my community, and respecting everyone as if I wanted to be respected. My leadership has made positive difference in my younger …show more content…
Leading the younger people in my family to surpass what I am today is one of the most important values that I cherish. I want to lead them to become a better person, student, and a teacher so they will able to transcend the leader than I am today. Being able to transcend is only the first step but I am teaching them to maintain their leadership so that they can pass it on to whom is ever looking upon them. One of the reasons that I have lead them is because I wanted to show that in today's society, doing better than the next person is not good enough anymore. They need someone who can show them to exceed over “good” and I am the person who is able to do what it takes. I showed them that if they put their mind to any objective, then they will be able to defeat any obstacles that step towards them. I will continue to make a difference and be a positive influence within my college years. I will lead my future college classmates by making sure people know my name but not because of who I am but because of the work and effort I put

I adapted the role of the "stage mom," making sure every hair was curled to perfection and every prop was in its place, as well as ensuring their lines were memorized and their staging was proper. Taking ENES 317 has exposed me to lot of knowledge such as one leadership/Management skills, personality types, approaches to problems and decision making. In the past, I believed that leadership was a quality that could be learned and taught, but I also thought that leadership would best fit people with some personal trait such as charisma or personality of an extrovert people. With the knowledge gained from this leadership course, I came up with an individual Bill Gates who is successful in leading but an introvert, and he has successfully managed to influence others, who virtually revitalize our personal computers/phones and way of shopping. However, some of the things I knew about leadership before taking ENES317 was that a good leader should be open to new ideas, forgiving to his/her followers, and demonstrate humility. I still believe that without these qualities a leader can only become arrogant in their leadership that their behavior may isolate them from their followers. My focuses on this paper will be to analyze the self-assessments test taken in class and the leadership theories presented in class.…

Pursuing a degree in administration forced me to reflect on the characteristics I see best fit when leading staff in the correct direction. A leader is a person who represents the whole class and motivate them. I did not believe I was a leader. During my freshman and sophomore year of high school, I was a quiet spoken individual who listens to what others have to say. It was not that I did not have anything to say, but it was the fear of saying something wrong and others disregarding what I had to say. I did several presentations in high school that made speaking in front of people more easier. However, I was still the timid person who wanted desperately to break my shell but did not know how. A shocking moment had occurred when I had became secretary of Zonta Club. It was junior year and I was surprised to have been part of the leadership team. I was able to discuss my ideas and to speak with the members at ease. It was my breaking point. I was given a privilege to be part of something that made a change. I was not just the soft spoken person, but I was a leader…

Leadership is the capability of holding responsibilities over others and guiding them as a role model to make good decisions. They themselves should be able to make wise choices and have a positive outlook. I am a leader because I am the oldest out of six children. They all look up to me for guidance and I always have to set an example whether I am out of the house or at school. I also take care of them when my parents need to run errands. I have a lot of experience in telling my sisters they can not do certain things if it involves their safety, breaking of rules or is disrespectful. Respect is important to my family. We learn to respect our elders, parents and one another. If my sisters do something they were not supposed to do like color on the walls or eat junk food, I also get in trouble. It can be difficult but I have had responsibilities at a young age. Service, scholarship, character and leadership are all important and should strive to improve all…

"I don't know what awaits us on the other side of that berm, but I'll tell you this. If I have to give my life for any of you I will do it in a heartbeat" (Murphy, 2008). An insert from the book In a Time of War told from a lieutenant in the U.S. Army moments before he leads his platoon into the invasion of Iraq. A position of leadership comes with many responsibilities other than just delegating work to people under you. One must have ethical values to be a fair and impartial leader for all that whom serve. This all ties into a person's philosophy of leadership. The leaders, all of whom will be independent in their own right but share common ground, can tell a view of their leadership. My view of leadership…
