My Journey In The Alchemist
Destination and journey in life are very important, but your journey is the most important. Journey is what you're doing to reach your destination. Sometime destination can’t be achieved by one. In The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, Santiago took a trip to Africa to discover his personal quest. While on his trip, he talks to the camel driver. The camel driver says to Santiago, “If you can concentrate always on the present, you’ll be a happy man…. Life will be a party for you, a grand festival, because life is the moment we’re living right now.” (85). The camel driver is saying that the present only matter as of this moment and live life as a happy person while focusing on the present. Destination is usually your goals in life and your journey can be what you do to achieve your goals. Your journey is important so embrace it and live life happy. …show more content…
I have a very slight chance to reach my destination, but I’m still working my hardest to be a better baseball player and a better person. I am happy how much I have accomplished. My journey has paid off, but still going through with my journey. I wouldn’t get to my destination, if I haven’t had a great work ethic. My destination would be nothing without a journey to start off. I have achieved small milestones such as reaching 80 mph for pitching. My journey has positive and negative effects.
