my imaginary trip
My imaginary trip around the world If you had the possibility of choosing a destination for a free month’s holiday, would you choose a single place or visit different countries? Well, if that would ever occur to me, I would feel very excited and, at first, I wouldn’t know where to go.
Both options have advantages and disadvantages: If I went to many different places my holiday would be more varied and exciting , but if I chose one single place my knowledge of the country would be deeper, and I could understand a lot about it.
In the end, I think I would choose at least three different places. That is the USA, India and New Zealand. I would go to the USA first, and I would start my visit there by visiting New York. I have heard that New York is a very exciting city. I imagine that there are a lot of tourists attractions, that the buildings are spectacular, the food varied and tasty but I also expect the people there to be unfriendly. After two or three days in New York I would fly to Los Angeles. Since some of my dad’s friends live in that area, I expect to stay a couple of days with them and that they show me all there’s to see there. This could save me precious time and allow me to see more. Perhaps I’d even get the chance to go north and visit San Francisco. I would then leave the States and fly to New Zealand where I’d be prepared to stay a couple of weeks.
I have always been fascinated with the story of native Neo Zealanders, the Maori warriors, so I would first visit the North Island, where the Maori population has always been concentrated. Observing and learning from a different culture is always a rewarding experience, and in my case my knowledge about the different aspect of the Maori culture will be directed in particular to the significance of the ancient art of “Ta moko”, that is the art of Maori tattoos. To be honest, I have never liked tattoos, or, I’d better say, I don’t agree with the tattoo fashion

Growing up, I spent all my summers in Fiji, lost in the world wind of family members and the Hibiscus Festival. However, one thing that always got my eye was the tattoos almost everyone had on the island. It was so different to what I would see in America. Each tattoo was different, some were the standard black, while others were filled in with colors. Getting a tattoo is something that should carefully be thought about. No matter how beautiful it looks, it is something that you will have to look at everyday, your body and tattoo will grow together. Polynesian tattoos are not only meaningful, but from the first tattoo they were deemed as a ritual.…

Paul Fussell once said, “All the pathos and irony of leaving one’s youth behind is thus implicit in every joyous moment of travel: one knows that the first joy can never be recovered, and the wise traveler learns not to repeat successes, but tries new places all the time.” Going around the world would be a fascinating goal for the future. Meeting new people and getting to grasp what the world is like . I feel that in life it is important to feel comfortable in the world, to feel freedom and happiness in nice places. For example in “ The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton the main character expresses that life in the country would be far superior to that of the city. So ask yourself the same question, where do you think you would be the most happy? Personally I feel comfortable by a lake in a small cabin where you are free to explore and enjoy the fresh air. In conclusion I think that you should go and find a place in the world that is right for you. To travel to in order to find peace.…

Firstly, I would treasure visiting England because I would travel to London, the capital of England and is considered to be one of the most sophisticated places in the world. Another cousin of mine got to study abroad there and has “mastered the art” of observing the whole city in two days! I would also love to tour the Beatles museums and walk down Abbey Road because their music is as beautiful as one’s childhood. Secondly, I would want to journey England on my European adventure is because I would travel to the primary beach town in England, Brighton. Brighton would be an incredible place to go because not only do they have a beach, but they have charming shops and restaurants that are widely known all throughout England. The final place I would visit in England while on my Europe trip is the city of Oxford. This city would be so pleasant to go to because of their college, Oxford University, which is one of my dream colleges. C.S. Lewis’ house is also present where you can explore the house and examine where he wrote his most widespread series, Narnia. As a result, my respect for England and my yearning to go there brings me back to my desire to travel through…

Summer finally came and my parents decided that our family was going to take a trip somewhere out of the country. They said we needed to experience a different culture. Before my family and I could start planning our trip, we had to decide where we would like to go. My family and I looked at many different countries and they all had their own unique culture that stood out. The one I liked the most, though, was New Zealand. New Zealand has an interesting history, a variety of land features and unique people.…

According to Aesop " Adventure is worthwhile", and traveling is one of the best adventures that people can experience in life. Also, by going to places that you've never been open up your mind to new things, new people, and you learn from it as much as you can. In my case, I'm fortunate to have been able to visit different cities all over the world, but only two of them have completely captivated me, San Francisco, California and Miami, Florida. Even though these two cities are located in the same country, both have many differences such as in the public transportation, food-population, and lifestyle.…
