my horrible day
It’s true everybody has a bad day no matter what lifestyle you live or what part of the world you are in, it is just something that everyone has to deal with. I was completely fine with that fact until my bad day came out of nowhere and practically slapped me right across the face due to many events that occurred to me on this depressing day. It was a very sunny Monday morning, I did not even need my alarm clock to wake me up due to the sunlight creeping through my blinds and shining right in my eyes at the crack of dawn. I crawled out of bed, took care of my usual morning routine which consists of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, a shower and a very extensive teeth cleaning procedure. As I come to the end of my morning routine it is about 630am and I have one hour until I leave to high school. I felt good, looked good, even smelled good too and I was almost positive my day would be nothing less that great! It all started with me getting my breakfast ready which was a bowl of Cocoa Pebbles. I carry on and pour myself a bowl of cereal and reach in my refrigerator for the milk. Only to find a soulless milk jug lying there, with no milk in it. I feel a little part of me die inside due to my craving for these Cocoa Pebbles so I decide to pour the dehydrated cereal back into the box. As I am dumping the chocolaty flakes of goodness back into the original box my phone rings, I flinch, stumble and drop the box of cereal and it explodes all over the floor! I think to myself, stay calm Ricky we do not need breakfast today, let us move on. So I stick to my gut feeling and move on. At this time it is 730am and I need to speed to school due to class starting quarter to eight. I sprint faster than an Olympic track star to my vehicle waiting for me outside in my driveway, turn on the ignition, put the car in drive, and put the pedal to the metal! I may have broken a few traffic laws halfway to school consisting of speeding, rolling stops, etc. I get to the oh so busy Main

Now that we are in the future with more and more people buying vehicles, it’s no wonder it’s a challenge just to drop the kids off at school. I mean ok, most people say avoid traffic and leave early. Anybody else out there ever hear of that saying? Guess what? So have the rest of those snail moving people out there. The major problem lies not because of so many people, but the select few that fear the speed limit. Oh yes, I know you have seen it every day. Maybe you are the one reading this. But is it really that hard to go the speed limit or at LEAST mind your damn business. Minding your own business is the other problem. People can’t seem to figure out traffic build up is also caused by rubber neckers. You know when you see the bright blue and red from the fuzz on the right side of the road. I mean come on, the person pulled over is already embarrassed enough. They don’t need you eyeballing them up and down while you pass. I’m sure that person passed you up going 80 mph 10 minutes ago, only because you were going 60 in a 65 mph.…

I woke up on another school day, dreading that I had to wake up at the crack of dawn to drive for Driver’s Ed. I do the normal routine: brush my snarled hair, get on my blue jeans, a t-shirt and brush my pearly whites. I’m then standing looking out the window, waiting for Mr. Schimp to drive up to my house in the stylish, white, Driver’s ed minivan. I hop out the front door with my backpack and then get into the driver’s seat, ready to pick out my favorite radio station, Star 106.1. I was officially ready to start my 20 minutes of driving.…

Throughout this week I have experienced many mixed emotions. On Tuesday I came to class extremely exhausted so I took a 5 minute power nap: I woke up confused and overwhelmed. Luckily Prof. Aran took a short break, but I still struggled to catch up on what I missed. On Wednesday I got up early to begin my rhetorical analysis and study the math problems I did not understand. It was a great feeling to come to class and know exactly what was going on. After class I joined a math study group which made me feel even more confident about my math exam approaching quickly. On Thursday I finished my first assignment with 10 hours to spare. My Rhetorical Analysis paper was very challenging to write, but I dedicated 2 hours a night and finished the…

According to Claire Ricke, a recent survey found that drivers committed more than 78,000 illegal passing violations in a single day. This evidence show just how dangerous a normal day is and how much danger you could be in just by getting on a bus. It’s scary to know that you're not always safe, even when doing something as simple as getting on a bus, but this can all be avoided if people would stop being in such a hurry and slow down to think about the consequences of their actions. Most people would say that it's almost impossible to stop because when you're in a hurry you don't think as clearly and you aren't as observant, but that’s not the case. It is possible to think and slow down when you're in a hurry, and I know because I've done this myself. It was a test day and I had already woken up late with very little time to spare. I was disorganized, in a hurry, and I was barley making it. Everything was so rushed that I wasn't thinking clearly until my sister told me to calm down and get every thing I needed then to meet her in the car. I managed to calm down, and I got every thing I needed and met my sister in the car. I’ve been in a hurry many times, but I still find time to think and get every thing done. Being late to work or an interview is not worth another person's life, so slow down and think before you…

I awoke to the sounds of birds singing, and the light shining through the window of my bedroom. I opened my eyes and stretched my pale arms towards the ceiling. As I put on my slippers, I thought to myself, “today is going to be a good day.” And went downstairs to get breakfast. I hummed to the tune of one of the many songs I had heard on the radio as I made myself a bowl of Frosted Flakes.…

Bad days can happen to anyone of us. There are days where nothing goes our way or days when you wake up in the morning with a really bad mood. Despite that, we still have to wake up, get out of bed and face the day. When I am having a bad day, I will ensure that no decisions are made throughout the day regardless of the matter's urgency because I believe that a wise decision is made based on clear emotions as well as logic. When facing a bad day, there are a few things I would do to turn my bad day around. After getting up in the morning, I would lock myself up in my own apartment, away from all the disturbance and noises that could possibly worsen my day. I will tune in to some of my favourite classical piano songs while reflecting on the problems that I am facing and find ways or solutions to solve the problem. After a while, I would take a short nap approximately 30 to 60 minutes to unwind myself. After the nap, I would take my bike and ride it to the gym to work out. I will spend roughly one and a half hour at the gym. By doing so, I believe this will help me de-stress and release my tension. After working out at the gym, I will then go to the nearest A&W to have a glass of root beer and a plate of waffle. After having my root beer and waffle, later on, I will ride back home to my apartment to take a warm and relaxing bath. Then I would call up home to inform my mother that I would be going over to the house for dinner. I will spend the rest of the evenings with my parents and my little siblings by dining and watching television together. Later in the night, I will bring both my parents and little siblings out to the nearest Mcdonalds to have some ice cream for desserts. We will have some family bonding time by laughing and joking with one another. After spending the whole evening with my family, afterwards, I will drive back to my house and upon arrival I would browse through the internet for some encouraging and motivational quotes online.…

Stepping out of my house, I felt the humidity smack me in my face; this wasn’t a good sign at all. I quickly grabbed my phone to check the weather. Eighty-five degrees? I knew there wasn’t anything I could have done to change the weather, I just had to cross my fingers and hoped that my hair wasn’t going to become frizzy My day started out with getting my nails done, then my hair, then my makeup. Being the impatient person that I am, I couldn’t help becoming anxious, I couldn’t wait to get all these things done with. Even though, I did enjoy the feeling of getting pampered.…
