My High School Student Senate Officer
A leader is defined by The Cambridge Dictionary as, “a person who manages or controls other people, especially because of their ability or position.” When I read this definition of a leader, the first person who comes to my mind is my high school Student Senate adviser.
As I first began high school I didn’t really have a place to go or a group to be with. I tried joining a variety of different clubs and organizations at my school and found that FFA was where I belonged. I had a great adviser my first three years of being involved in FFA, but after getting a new adviser my senior year while serving as president, I knew that I needed someone to help me who already had knowledge of the program. Since I had just recently joined Student Senate and knew that the adviser had been very involved in FFA during the time he was in high school, and would be more than happy to help me throughout the year.
I was hesitant to ask for his help at first, but as I became more involved with Student Senate I went to him for many things involving both organizations. He used his leadership abilities throughout the year to organize many different events through our school that not only benefitted

These conferences teach both him and us how to become better leaders and how to create better leaders as

A dictionary definition of a leader is a guiding hand in a movement or group. My definition of a leader is someone who stands out amongst the rest and steps up to the task and helps the “followers” advance and strive to become a leader as well. The only way a leader can be effective is by leading by example. A prime example of this is Malala Yousafzai. She was shot in the face for trying to go to school. If she hadn’t gone to school she wouldn’t have been shot, but she also wouldn’t have a Nobel Peace prize. She is now using her story to speak for access to education for everyone. A leader is someone who leads by example and uses their skills to help others succeed.…

A leader can be described as someone who guides, leads or is in command of others. In many adventure and mystery books there is a leader. There are many different types of leaders, but either way, they have special qualities that make them important to the novel. It is required of them to choose a leader that will be head of the boys and keep things in line so that they can all survive long enough to be rescued. The boys choose Ralph as their leader. Judging by his qualities, Ralph is the best leader that they could have chosen. Ralph is civilized, organized, and motivated.…

Throughout middle and high school, I have positively influenced others as a member of my High School Student Government class, as Commissioners of Social Media and Recognition, and as Junior Class President. On occasion, I took the role of Interim ASB President, where I was in charge of the Student Government class as a whole. My major responsibility as Junior Class President was to communicate comments presented by my class to administration. This helped bridge communication gaps between students and administration. In my role as Junior Class President, I promoted an open door policy for any classmate to come to me with issues and helped them to the best of my abilities. For example, a classmate came to me asking for ways to improve his grade…

A leader: a person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country. This is the textbook definition of a leader although, is this the only way to define a leader? Can a leader be someone who, despite all odds against them, can come out on top, and inspire others to do to them same? Can a leader be someone who's life is filled with physical, as well as emotional pain, but see’s nothing but the best in everything she sees? Can a leader be someone who questions the status quo, and spits in the face of the social norm? Before researching this individual, I might have answer no to these questions. Although, through learning about the amazing and devastating journey Frida Kahlo faced through her life, I am forced to think otherwise.…
