My Hero Journey
The heroes’ journey teaches us to appreciate the beginning, middle and end of a person seeking to change, grow, sacrifice, kill your old self and transform. Finding their own, ambitious person by learning their strengths and weaknesses. Personally I loved this book because it helped me understand my own characteristics that have led me to come up with the concept I am introducing today. My journey has guided me through the ordinary world to coming full circle and reaching the special world in coordination with this concept. For me I have always been a warrior, magician, a shape shifter who thinks about the world in a different way because of my upbringing and adversities I have had to face as a child. My journey goes far before this paper or …show more content…
This drone will be manufactured for 8 dollars a unit by a tech company called CES and will have a chip that will allow the drone to upload the videos, pictures and statistics of the game. The trick is having another external sensor on the foot so the statistics like goals, shots on target, shots off target, miles ran, top speed during play, passes complete, passes incomplete, and most importantly footage of the game. The individual consumer will be able to compare it to professional players like Ronaldo and Messi so a comparison could be made to see how they match up to the very best who are monitored every game, practice, and fitness tests. This will be able to competitively improve players without using big companies like Gatorade, Nike, Addidas to track players that are either semi professionals or professionals. At the moment the technology exists with a drone is called Zano, which will be released July …show more content…
One person I interviewed spoke about the fact that if one is lost the application is useless. This is a problem but easily fixable although it might cost the company and cause a liability if people start to loose their devices. I will implement an insurance plan for the devices; each piece will cost a different amount. The drone will obviously cost more but like any electronic device insurance is always an option. For example when you loose you iphone and you don’t purchase insurance you have to pay a significant amount more but when the consumer minimizes their liability which is purchasing the insurance your able to also profit given there is a chance they might not loose the

The hero's journey is about growth and passage. The journey requires a separation from the comfortable, known world, and an initiation into a new level of awareness, skill, and responsibility, and then a return home. Each stage of the journey must be passed successfully if the initiate is to become a hero. To turn back at any stage is to reject the need to grow and mature.…

After years of study Joseph Campbell found that all heros travel the same path in their lives. Mr. Campbell named this famous theory the hero's journey. The hero’s journey states that the hero's must first endure several obstacles and if the hero passes all the obstacles he/she will be rewarded. This treacherous journey is repeated over and over again. This theory not only relates to us but it relates to everyone for instance myself. In fact my life’s journey as a football player and a grandson is much like the Joseph Campbell’s hero journey because I had left my ordinary world, met my mentor, and earned my reward.…

Western and nonwestern heroes come from different regions of the world; therefore, have different cultural backgrounds. More specifically, western heroes come from the Greco-Roman or Judeo-Christian traditions. Nonwestern heroes come from other parts of the world that would not associate with these traditions. While these heroes might seem to have little in common when it comes to origin, “The Hero’s Journey” by Joseph Campbell demonstrates that all heroes have “similar patterns” (Campbell). However by examining the non-western hero, Mulan, in “The Ballad of Mulan” demonstrates how this figure is different than the hero outlined in Joseph Campbell’s “The Hero’s Journey” in the following ways, Mulan does not have any kind of “supernatural aid”, “tests that lead to the final showdown”, or a “life-changing experience for her or many others” (Campbell).…

Throughout human history, great heroes have been created to triumph over man’s struggles. Most every culture has, in the past, told their own tales of heroes and their trials. These champions, while spread across our world and its ages, share some key characteristics with each other. This formulaic composition of heroes, while it can deviate, has stayed true since the dawn of history. This remains true with the Finnish hero god, Vainamoinen. (okay so his name has a bunch of umlauts and such but I can’t type that every time.)…

A good example of this is Harry Potter. The first step of a “Hero’s Journey” is starting from the ordinary world. This means that the story starts in everyday life, where the hero is going about everyday existence, oblivious of the adventures to come. This confirms the character as a human, before it also becomes a human. When anchored as a human, it confirms that it is just like you and me, and hence we can associate ourselves with the character.…

The heroes of today are not that different than the heroes of the ancient world. They have goals to achieve, obstacles to overcome, and quests to pursue. Their existence is necessary to inspire hope in generations of those struggling to survive and to find meaning in their lives. It could be said that our admiration and devotion to heroes is because we seek something that we can aspire to, whether it be to improve ourselves, to cope with our flaws, or overcome obstacles and succeed. Two examples of great role models, both past and present, for learning how to overcome obstacles and succeed are: Gilgamesh and Superman. During their obstacle-filled journeys of achieving goals, both heroes experience failure and success. In addition, both heroes receive critical help along the way.…
