My First Day at Air Uni
My First Day at University Every student of college, in his life, at certain point, dreams about his university life. It is the dream of every student to get admission in a university of high esteem. A university with full colors of life makes a bigger share in good memories. I also thought about the same thing. After I had done my Fsc exams, I appeared in entrance tests of different universities. I got admission in few of them and my final decision was for Air University for its emerging repute. So after admission procedure I was called for orientation on 3rd of September. I made arrangement for a hostel with my school friend who also got admission in the same institute. We reached Islamabad on the 2nd September. Next day we woke up early in the morning at 8am and prepared for the orientation. The University was located near Shaheen Chowk in Islamabad. It was a state of the art structure. Its first glimpse was fascinating. We were directed to main hall by well mannered staff of university. Before entering the hall we were provided student ID cards that showed us the efficiency of their staff. Orientation started on scheduled time. In the beginning we were addressed about academic years and some semester related terms. After that we were explained in detail about the rules and regulations that were to be strictly followed within the premises of the university. We found that the university was very strict about discipline and that the ones not abiding by the rules were to face the music. Followed by this was a detailed presentation given to us about the academic structure and administrative measures of university by our Head of Department, Mr. Dr. Basharat ullah Malik. He altered his way of speech and took the discussion towards a lighter side by cracking some decent jokes. Then we were informed about our class rooms and labs. We were gathered for an introductory trip. We were satisfied after the introductory session about the university. After that we were

This past week back at the NJIT, I've been noticing how college freshmen are so obviously college freshmen. They wear lanyards, spend hours picking out their first day of school outfit, and cheer out wrong names of players at football games. While I find all this amusing, I also totally remember the excitement, anxiousness and remarkable amount of cluelessness that comes with being a brand spanking new college freshman.…

Brought up in a highly educated family, my parents expect me to excel in my studies. Living in Pakistan I have many opportunities to outdo in my studies. Speculating on this subject earlier while considering my grades and a list of schools/colleges in Karachi I shortlist some top-class schools/colleges for the commencement of my Advanced Level (A ‘level). My top priority was The Nixor College. I chose and gave preference to Nixor College as an institution for my A ‘level because in my opinion it gave me the best of the opportunities. The best of the administration combined with unparalleled faculty it is the pick of the bunch for me. The Nixor curriculum provides good and endless opportunities for the students to choose from. With a curriculum like that in Nixor every student enrolled in the college haves a golden opportunity for future advancement in his/her career. It’s a new college but the faculty is quite old in its experience. Not only the highly experienced teachers and the curriculum make the college reliable but also its support for the enrolled students through counseling is an excellent step towards dedicated and easy environment for the students. The experienced and dedicated professionals at Nixor make sure that the students are receiving proper counseling for there career, college and personal life, therefore making the student realize his/her potentials and presenting the students realistic point of views for their betterment. At the college good environment is maintained with the help of two bodies namely: “The Nixor government” and “The Nixor perfect body”. These two bodies in my opinion are the most feasible way to bridge the gap between administration and the students. They include the selected student each for a different office but with a same mission that helps in keeping the unity among the whole campus. For me Nixor is a complete college with best admin, outstanding faculty and a healthy combination of all the facilities such as the…

When you reach an age to work, the job you want feels like a dream or set goal, no matter the place of rank in the workforce field. At nearly nineteen, I held my first working experience at RHA on second shift. RHA is a company for the mentally disabled and mentally challenged adults. They are located across North Carolina, parts of Tennessee, and Georgia. Founded in 1991, RHA started out as a small cluster group homes in North Carolina to offer support to people with disabilities. The company has since then expanded. Some of the services provided at the RHA facilities include supported living, day programs, respite, and personal care services. I filled application out and I was hired at a group home located in Newton, NC. My memorable first day was filled with: new responsibilities, acquired new knowledge in healthcare, enjoyment, and I was more interested for future plans in healthcare. Choosing this place of business to work was not anything new to me because my step mom has worked there for many years. I was raised around some of the clients that were now in my care and responsibility.…

When I was sixteen years old I thought my first job was going to be at Mc Donald’s or some type of fast food restaurant. My mother wasn’t really the type that forced me to work at a younger age. Usually a lot of teenagers don’t work until seventeen or eighteen years old. Some times when I was a child I always wanted to be more responsible by doing things on my own, working, and driving, but at sixteen what can I be responsible at. As a young teenager I always looked at job postings. For example I would see chef jobs, office jobs and retail. Sometimes I would look at them just for the fun of it just to see what type of work that was offered in the bay area. Were I m from a lot of jobs don’t exist, and my community is so small that it didn’t create jobs for families. For example a lot of the good jobs like banks, store managers, and high end jobs were towards Oakland and San Francisco. When I was fifteen I heard about this program that helps younger teenagers find summer jobs, and it was something that sparked my interest. When I was sixteen I experienced a piece of responsibility; First I had my own job which generated my own money, second the job was very fun, finally I had a lot of responsibilities at work at a young age.…

On July 18, 2013, I decided to continue my education in college. First of all I imagine that college would be a very enjoyable experience. Start of the orientation time, I tried to greet anyone who might be a good friends of mine later. This is very important because I live alone with no families in Bandung. The next day, the teaching-learning process begins. Teaching-learning process in college is much more different than Senior High School. In college, we had to develop the lessons ourselves, because most lectures do not explain in details. If we don’t do that,,we will be confused and misunderstood the lessons. We also have to be able to set the time between tasks and participated in the organization. This hectic schedule sometimes makes a mess sleep schedule. But behind the challenges of college life I faced, I'm sure that I can prepare my future career and become a successful man through out college. Attending college allows students to learn new information, make lifetime friens, and prepare for a career.…

I got my first job at sixteen because my parents required it. However, I had no intention of getting a job and wanted to continue being a teenager where I had little responsibility. As I looked around my hometown for a job, I found that there were not a lot available. I finally was able to find a job close to my house at a local Dairy Queen working for minimum wage. Now that I had a job I had to make decisions in time I spent between friends, athletics, and now work. Having a job gave me another outlook on life. It taught me about the importance of money and the consequences of my financial decisions. It also helped me to understand the control I needed on the flow of my finances and along the way taught me many life lessons.…

College is extremely different from high school – creating new friends, dealing with more school work, and being responsible. In some ways it can be a good thing but it can be a frightful thing as well. It is one of the biggest challenges most teenagers will encounter to be successful in life. After all those four years of high school, it is now the time to join the ranks of the high school graduates who have chosen to achieve a higher education. Some might think it is very exciting while others might have a different opinion about it. Regardless of how they feel, being able to attend college is the primary step to the real world. As what Jason Rich, author of The Everything College Survival Book, has mentioned, “This is the time when you are making that life transition from living at home with your parents to becoming an adult.” It is most likely that these intimidating words will haunt a high school graduate’s mind until the first day of college. Still, there are plenty of ways to deal with the hardships a student may face while walking into college the first time.…

As a fourteen-year old actress in Los Angeles, California I was thinking that coming to a performing arts school all the way in Ohio, didn’t sound so great. I had been in movies and television. Why would I need to attend the College-Conservatory of Music at University of Cincinnati (CCM)? I was going into the Prep program which was for children from the ages of 4-18 before they started the actual college. I was going to attend there for Acting and Musical Theatre, but I already had all of this experience and wisdom. What could I possibly learn here? Furthermore, I was afraid that coming from LA, I wouldn’t know anyone because I thought everyone there had spent most of their lives participating in this camp with each other. What would they think of me coming in to this program as an outsider? Would they accept me, or as I feared, would they judge me? My first day there was the beginning of the most incredible experience of my life.…

In the beginning of the semester I felt as most typical college students; lost and confused. When it came to registration, the process was fair and quick without too much hassle or waiting in lines. It had always felt like the school wanted me here and as if the school itself wanted me to come. This school was nice enough to have people around campus the whole first week just everywhere I needed with all the resources and tools to help me find my classes and schedule. The weeks that followed were full of meeting new interesting people, a lot of them no different from me, college students trying to make it. The people were nice always making me feel socially accepted in all means. I was…
