My First Car-Personal Narrative
It was a dark, dreary winter's evening and I was consumed with insurmountable levels of joy and excitement; I was finally getting my first car. Well actually, allow me to dial that back just a tad, I was filled with excitement and joy about my new car, but it was not really for the same reasons that any old average-joe might be excited for. I was really excited to wash my new car. Being the perfectionist that I am, I immediately set out to make my car look as if it had just rolled fresh off the assembly line some twenty long years after the fact. It all started when I began wandering aimlessly in the automotive section of the local Walmart and I stumbled upon the car care products. As soon as I saw all of these products with uses foreign to me I made a mental list and proceeded to spend the next …show more content…
I must have not learned my lesson yet as I neglected to remember the inner workings of my car compared to the spotless outside. I had really put myself in a pickle with this one because my car was now stranded in a parking lot with no way of recharging the battery. I had to be rescued by my father who came and retrieved my battery so we could recharge it. The worst was yet to come, as a side effect of a nonfunctional alternator is that the air conditioning and the power windows are off limits. Now, normally this would not have been an issue if the temperature outdoors was not 105 degrees Fahrenheit. This was still not the end of the misfortune I experienced by my own design, when I finally purchased my replacement alternator I got the biggest, most flashy one and undoubtedly the most expensive one. Once we put it in, big surprise, It did not work. There was no reason for it to not work it just did not, we even made sure by having the automotive store test the alternator and it passed their test with flying colors. So just like that, my car had left my grasp because of my

Nevertheless, my car was incredibly mature it was a 2003 Buick Regal Joseph Abboud edition with only 74K on it. Before I owned the car my grandma had it, and she kept it outside for the majority of its life and didn’t have loads of money so she couldn’t take care of it a large amount of the time. The car’s underbody had tons of corrosion and was extremely brittle and would bend when you would jack the car on a car jack. I took my time taking the ancient vacuum lines of the car since they were dreadfully old and could break awfully…

It was a nice spring day, the sun shined bright, the flowers waved in the wind and you could smell the fresh cut grass. In a rural area right outside of Smithville lived a teenage girl named Grace. She had blonde hair and blue eyes. Grace was small for her age, but she was mighty. She was shy, but caring and she loved animals. There was something special about Grace that only a few people that were very close to Grace knew. Grace had the power of speed. Grace was a normal teenager before she got her special power. She lived in a three bedroom and two bathroom house with her parents and her little brother. She had a cocker spaniel named Chevy, a hamster named Buttons and was involved with student council and cheerleading.…

Living in West Virginia, one has ridden in a pick-up truck at least once. If it was in the front seat or the back, especially when you’re six foot three with your knees in your chest. Or when everyone hopped in the bed, you knew it was going to be a good time. Growing up my father had two trucks that I can remember, both of them I loved to ride in. The first one was the definition of a work truck, and it broke down everywhere. The other one was a very nice family truck that he loved, and so did I considering it was the first vehicle I ever drove. I currently drive a truck as my daily driver, and considering my history, I want to test if there is a better truck out there than mine. So I will be testing: suspension, carrying, handling, and gas…

When I first saw it, I thought my '76 Trans Am was a piece of junk. The transmission worked; however, the motor had blown up a long time before. Not only was the paint faded and peeling off, but the rear quarter panels were also rusted. The entire body was covered in dirt, grease, and mold. The driver's seat was torn on the bottom, the windshield was cracked in more than one place, and the interior had an unpleasant odor.…

I am sorry about your loss of your grandpa, and glad you are doing okay now. I wrote about losing my first car because I never lost an important person in my life. I believe suffering from a family member death is probably the hardest thing to do. The process of ending suffering from someone's death may be a long process. I am glad that your morality includes to make the right decisions to make your grandpa proud. Also, I agree with you, that attachment can be overcome, but this doesn’t mean we have to forget are loved ones. This just means we understand that our loved ones are in better place, and move on with life.…

I would really appreciate it if you got me a new car. The car I currently have right now is awful to drive. There is only one door that you can open to get in and that's the drivers side. If I want to go out with my friends to the movies or shopping, I have to open the passenger door from the inside to let them in. I wouldn't be able to have more than one friend in the car with me because the backseat doors just don't open at all, inside or out. They could climb in through the front but who wants to do that, then they would have to crawl out through the front to. Also, my gas gage doesn't work either, it always is set on empty, actually not even empty it's below the empty. I never know how much gas is in my car unless I look at how many miles…

What are we doing? We never go on car rides; I am so excited. I wonder where we are going, they never tell me anything when I ask. I can yell and yell but they just don’t understand. I don’t think I have been this excited in 15 years of living, well maybe besides what we did yesterday. Yesterday we went swimming, walking, and I even got a huge stake to eat. I got to do so many things that I never got to do before. It’s funny how they know when I am feeling bad and just take me out and have the time of my life. I can’t wait to see what we do tomorrow! Lately I have been noticing how sad they have been, I try to understand, but I find it hard too. They are so different from me, but they treat me like one of the family. They tell me how good I am and how they love me, I love…

    Buying My First Car

The week before, I had been furiously searching Craigslist and Jeep Forum classifieds looking for a Jeep, particularly a Cherokee with low miles, little to no rust, and the right price, between the years 1997 and 1999. With the tight guidelines that I had for the car, it made it hard to find one. However, acquiring a Cherokee was only the first part; I had many plans once I had one of my own, plans to lift it and put some big mud tires on it, along with some other jeep essentials. My friend had his lifted Cherokee for a few months, and I had wanted one just like it for quite a while. After calling up multiple private sellers and used car dealerships, I had found one not far from me. A used car dealership had three Cherokees, all with low miles, and relatively fair prices. My dad and I decided to go check them out, with the hopes of being able to talk the salesman down a few hundred dollars. After driving a half hour or so, we arrive at the dealership, and there, parked in the front three spots were the jeeps. We made our way over and I was instantly checking them all out, making sure that I kept my cool. The salesman comes out, a big guy who looks like he could be on steroids, and he and my dad started talking. Instantly, like any used car salesman, he goes right into telling us about how awesome these Jeeps are, that they’re in perfect condition. We had narrowed down the three jeeps to one, and naturally we wanted to take it to a local mechanic. Most people would have no problem with this, but this guy did. After he refused to let us take it to our mechanic, we were turned off. In addition, he had given us a price…
