It was a hot summer day in the city of brotherly love (Philadelphia). I was with my dad and my little brother who kept nagging about the ninety degree weather. We were so exhausted from waiting for one hour until the right car was ready to be auctioned. We were at the Philadelphia Parking Authority auction lot. I was so enthusiastic that I was going to have a car, that I can call my own, not my mom's minivan nor my dad's dodge charger. This was a reward from my parent because I was going to graduate High School before I turned seventeen. The car that I ended up getting was my fantasies car, a year 2000 BMW 740i. This was made me think that life would only get better. Life did get better but only for a while.

It was a nice calm Saturday, my dad woke me up at six o'clock in the morning, which I thought was very unusual. He started telling me that my uncle had purchase a nice crystal blue 2002 Nissan Maxima from a local auction. He later tells me that he and my mom have been thinking that since I was graduating High School I will need a car, and he was thinking that we should go to the same auction and browse. Having heard of this auction from a friend, I swiftly rose off the bed and went to the PPA website that had the car listings, dates and the event location. Going down the car listing I was disappointed that the entire car listed was either old are not quite the fit for me. When I was a instance away from closing the web page, I saw my three favorite letters put together (BMW). I yelled out to my dad and told him to come quick. After seeing the car, he made me less eager about the car when he replies “Mohamed you know that there will be hundreds of eager buyers ready to buy that car next Tuesday”. Even though what he said made sense, there was still part of me that wanted that car badly. Tuesday could not have come any quicker but when it did I was so eccentric, that I woke up before sunrise. I was so happy that I woke up my brother who

My First Car First cars are really special. Like most teenagers, I had to settle for a used car, but at least some of my first car dreams seemed likely to come true since my first car was a 1966 Mustang and it was my favorite color blue. It was the deep blue color of the ocean. My first car had some major problems, like the tendency to flood its carburetor at the worst possible moments and a thirst for oil which, made owning it a bad experience. The carburetor would flood just about…

looking black Jeep Cherokee that my dad and I had just driven and hour to look at. It looked like every other one that I had seen in pictures, but there was the feeling that this one could possibly be mine. The week before, I had been furiously searching Craigslist and Jeep Forum classifieds looking for a Jeep, particularly a Cherokee with low miles, little to no rust, and the right price, between the years 1997 and 1999. With the tight guidelines that I had for the car, it made it hard to find one…

Narrative Essay-Personal experience “A blessing in disguise” My first car accident Once you get your driver license in Germany at the age of 18, your Mum might tell you from the date before leaving by car “Fahre nie schneller, als dein Schutzengel fliegen kann.” It is a German saying and it means that you should never drive faster than your guardian angel can ever fly. I remember that I always answered “Yes, yes- nothing will ever happen to me, Mum. Calm down”, closed the door…

“My First Car” Most people dream about what kind of car they want to get when they start driving. First cars are really special. Like most teenagers, I had to settle for a used car even if it was not my dream car. My first car was my most memorable car because I got my license in it, it was all mine, and I had a wreck in it. When it was time for me to get my license, I did not have a car. I had practiced driving my sister’s car because it was much smaller than my mom’s SUV or my dad’s truck…

My Not So Fancy First Car I remember getting my first car like it was yesterday; it was a warm August afternoon and I was working an overtime shift at the local McDonald’s restaurant in an attempt to save up money so I could buy my first car. I turned around to hand out a bag of food and saw my mom smiling at me and dangling a set of keys. She told me to meet her out front so I got permission from my manager, who was apparently in on the surprise, and bounded outside. My mom met me there and handed…

The search began on a Sunday morning we went to several different dealerships, in search of the right mix of economy and style. Well, to be honest my mom was mostly interested in the economy part. The first dealership we went the car salesman seemed…

I was consumed with insurmountable levels of joy and excitement; I was finally getting my first car. Well actually, allow me to dial that back just a tad, I was filled with excitement and joy about my new car, but it was not really for the same reasons that any old average-joe might be excited for. I was really excited to wash my new car. Being the perfectionist that I am, I immediately set out to make my car look as if it had just rolled fresh off the assembly line some twenty long years after the…

English 093 My First Car I finally saved up enough money to buy myself a car, so I set out to track it down. My journey started out on a spring day, when the trees started to grow leaves shading the sun over my house. First, I drove to the store to get a newspaper, for I had already spotted a potential lead a few weeks back. As I searched through the classified section, I had my fingers crossed. I immediately spotted it. Because I had saved a pile of cash through the winter, I could…
