Have you ever been in a car accident? I can imagine it was very unpleasant, especially at a young age when you don’t know what you need to do depending on the situation. I mean, any little fender bender is a simple swap of information, but have you ever been in a real car crash? It isn’t the easiest thing to go through, especially if you don’t have insurance. Luckily that wasn’t the case for me. On Monday, September 17th, 2012, I was in my first car accident. I would never thought with the way I drive I could be in a big car wreck. I am a really conservative driver and abide by all laws. It all started when I made the decision to go down the road that leads into a very busy highway to cross. As I was pulling up to the stop sign, I knew it was a bad idea to have gone down this road, but before I knew it, it was too late. In the three years of driving down this road, I had never thought I would be a victim of the silly accidents that frequently occur on this highway. Sure enough, my luck had run out. While waiting to cross the three lane highway to go to school, I had to wait till someone in the middle lane left a gap for me to cross through. The middle lane is the lane where all the traffic eventually merges, so the other sides were usually empty. Eventually a man had opened the gap for me. From where I was sitting I couldn’t see the hidden lane. This created an unknown feeling of disaster when crossing over, and sure enough this would prove to be end of my car. As I was thanking you to the man who left the gap open, I continued forward only to see smoke and the sensation of blood rushing down my face a second later. It didn’t take long before I realized what happened. One thing I absolutely hate is the feeling of helplessness. I jumped out of the car like superman, with strength unheard of.
