My travelling experiences across India
Amidst all the noise and everyday struggles of life, one simply ignores what his heart says. Hobbies and passions are an integral part of the life of any individual. One must take time out for the activities they love. Not only does it boost your skills but also leave many memorable experiences to cherish in future. The process of exploring yourself by engaging in activities that interest you is indeed thrilling. I have a keen interest in travelling. I have had the privilege to travel across India and have visited many cities. Our nation India has so many diverse cultures. People with different languages, food, religious beliefs and practices live in this country. India truly is the manifestation of “Unity in Diversity”. I have had a great experience travelling to new places. I got to learn a lot about people from different parts of the country.
I originally hail from North India and have been to many places around that region. Delhi and Chandigarh are my personal favorites. The climate in the northern part is mostly cool, Delhi being famous for its chilly winters. People are very warm and welcoming. Food is great and landscape is beautiful. I have seen the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Qutub Minar, Red Fort, Lotus Temple and India Gate in Delhi. All these places were extremely appealing. I have also been to Chandigarh, a city which has been beautifully divided into sectors. Rock Garden is the most beautiful park I have ever been to. Once while I was travelling in Chandigarh with my mother, she lost her phone. We tried to find it but could not do so. Suddenly my phone rang and someone was calling from my mother’s phone. My experiences in Rajasthan were also very amazing. In ancient times, the state of

Paul Fussell once said, “All the pathos and irony of leaving one’s youth behind is thus implicit in every joyous moment of travel: one knows that the first joy can never be recovered, and the wise traveler learns not to repeat successes, but tries new places all the time.” Going around the world would be a fascinating goal for the future. Meeting new people and getting to grasp what the world is like . Traveling would be interesting to do in the future because first I can challenging myself, second the adventures, and third to appreciate life.…

When you see how other people in other countries live it can really let you see how fortunate you are and allows you to appreciate the things you have. Carl Dennis’ poem, “The God Who Loves You”, has a theme and tone much like Nathaniel Hawthorne’s, “Young Goodman Brown.” The two narratives tell a tale of a man making his own choices in life; however the choices are bleak and the consequences of each choice in the two stories result in a disheartening and questionable resolution. Tone and theme play a critical role in Carl Dennis’, “The God Who Loves You,” and Nathaniel Hawthorne’s “Young Goodman Brown,” each portrays parts of life and experiences one may encounter.…

Life is full of adventures and experiences. The key to living well is making these experiences as meaningful as possible. I went through a very significant experience, which was actually more of a risk, about two years ago. I was 15 years old and I had to decide whether I would stay in my hometown or move to Monterrey, Mexico. As in every dilemma faced, there are pros and cons that will try to sway you. Time wouldn’t stop and the day of my decision was getting closer and closer; the less time I had to decide, the more confused and undecided I became. All I could do was imagine myself living the future in my hometown or in Monterrey. But, why was I put into this situation? Should I have stayed where I was born and where I’d lived my whole life or would the best thing be to move to an entirely new city?…

2:35 a.m. Even though it was something that I had experienced before, the pain still took me my surprise. And it was only the beginning. I had finally fallen asleep around midnight. My parents had come down to Indiana for a weekend visit and we had stayed up a little late enjoying our visit with each other after the boys had gone to bed. There were two bedrooms in my little apartment and I had given them the use of mine, deciding to sleep with my two children in the other room. Being two weeks overdue with my third child and still working full-time as a waitress, I practically passed out when my head finally touched the pillow. That is, until a bad cramp woke me from my peaceful slumber. Still groggy from sleep I thought nothing of it and went back to sleep.…
