My Experience With Grammarly
My experience with “Grammarly” and “Safe Assign” was a great learning experience. This is my first experience with safe assign; I had used Grammarly in the past for school assignments. I was a bit nervous when I posted my paraphrased assignment, it took a while to get the results, but I was amazed when I got the report stating I used another student work as my reference. This tool will help students avoid plagiarism and maintain academic integrity. With Grammarly, I had to sign up with my school I.D; it even gave me the option to add it to my browser. The page content is clear and understandable, with layouts for writing either academic, business, medical or casual paper. You also have an option to correct your paper using either the British

In the web blogs “I Won't Hire People Who Use Poor Grammar” by Kyle Wiens and “Why Grammar Counts At Work” by Susan Adams, these authors both describe why proper use of grammar in the workplace is necessary. Susan Adam, a Forbes contributor, claims that “office managers were fed up with younger employees.” Kyle Wiens, a CEO of iFixit and founder of Dozuki, sympathizes, saying that “he won’t hire people who have bad grammar” (Adams). In both of their articles, they both point out that grammar is a good reflection of one’s self.To Weins, grammar is also a good indicator of a person’s credibility. People who do not care about grammar are more likely to not care about other things which may be important (Weins). In a hyper-competitive market,…

Every one of has heard it a hundred of times that: every single rules of English grammar matters. We all want to write a good paper without any flaws and errors. The problem is that writing a good paper is seldom fun. If you've studied a foreign language in school, if English is your secondary language, you no doubt will be in problems because you won’t have that much idea to write organized writings without any errors. It can get tedious. Errors such as coma splice error, Subject- verb agreement error, weak thesis, weak evidential supports, counterarguments and your general style of writing takes the vampire mode and drains all of your confidence out of you as a vampire drains the blood out of you, you feels like you are being executed. Those…

Hey friend, I am currently going to University of Phoenix. I am just getting started really. We are learning about some of the resources to help us succeed here at school. Some of the cool stuff we have is this program in the online library. It is a paper review service that allows us to up load papers for review before we submit them. One of the things is does, is tells us about our grammar and punctuation, as well as our spelling errors. Part of this program will check for plagiarism for us. Plagiarism is when you use someone else’s work without acknowledging them. There is also this program called River Point Writer that helps format our paper to how they need to be set up. This helps me out because I have such a hard time setting up MS Word for that format. Then we have a place that can help us prepare for math classes even before we are in a math class. I think I am really going to use this thing to help me overcome my anxiety in math and to get to know it a little bit better.…

In John Updike’s “A & P” Sammy, the main character of the story encounters three young girls who come into his grocery store. They are dressed for a day at the beach, not shopping. “The one that caught my eye first was the one in the plaid green two-piece. She was a chunky kid, with a good tan and a sweet broad soft-looking can with those two crescents of white just under it, where the sun never seems to hit, at the top of the backs of her legs.” (Updike) Sammy goes on to say the girls are barefoot and in describing another of the girls says the straps on her swimsuit are down. Their apparel gives them some unintended attention. Lengel, the A & P manager, confronts the three girls, reminding them they are not at the beach. The girls try to defend themselves stating the reason they are in the store is to pick up one item for one of the girls’ mothers. Lengel does not care and tells the girls it does not matter why they are in the store but they need to be decent when they came in to do any sort of shopping. Sammy does not like the way Lengel made a scene and embarrassed the girls. He feels he must follow his heart and stand up for the three girls by quitting his job. In my life, exploring the option of homeschooling my three children, I feel there could be unintended negative consequences as well. Weighing the pros and cons of the decision is a heavy task, but in the end I must do what is right for my family despite outside obstacles, just as Sammy had to do what he felt was right. Sadly, doing what is right for you often times is rejected by main stream society and can therefore bring uphill challenges that accompany your decision.…

While deciding which words read better throughout a sentence and making sure the words I use are proper, it is important for me to give a strong sense of understanding to the reader; thus, having a well written and more educated paper. I have never been horrible at spelling; however, if not for the autocorrecting tool, I would need to practice my spelling. As has been said, my spelling has improved, due to the fact that my English professor has helped me realize the error of my…

I think it is great that we have Writepoint as a tool for or college papers. Writpoint points out and recognizes errors that are most commonly made. I really like how this tool suggests comments and possible changes to the paper whether it is toward grammar and style. When I received my feedback from Writepoint on my Effective Persuasion paper I notice that there can be correction made to it. Taking in the comments and suggestions now will better my writing in the future. The first mistake starts in the beginning on my paragraph. I am not aware when I am writing in a passive voice. That is something I need to work on to make sure my writing is not tedious to read. I also have a bad habit of dividing two-part verbs and I use the word definitely too often. I need to watch out for using the same words and phrases excessively. I do not want my audience to get bored with my writing. By using a bit more of my vocabulary I can keep my essay entertaining and this may help persuade my readers…
