My Experience
Three and half years ago, I made a big turning point of my life. I left to the new place that I had have never been before and behind all my friends, memories, and hometown, which represent the 15 years of my life. It was not just curiosity to have a desire to start the new exploration. I had been thinking about my future seriously. I did not want to be a person of narrow outlook and wanted to begin my life in the middle of a strange place to experience the real life. The exchange student program was extrication from where I situated at that time. The main aim of the exchange program was about learning the new culture and experiencing the various kinds of matters through attending high school and fitting in the community. It provided an American host family who could help me to adjust the new environment with a better understanding. Because I knew that good chances hardly come in one's life, I took it of lifetime. Even though it was not an easy conquest, I experienced the great value of community through the exchange student program.

Just believing my potential abilities, I started with no preparation for my new exploration. Maybe I just trusted that young aged person has more ability to accept a new language faster than a person with full age. I also think that the reason that I had too much confidence on the new situation was that I believed so much in the word which man is the most adjustable being entirely in wherever. I had have lived in the metropolitan area for all my entire life. The place that I had to live with my new host Cho 2 family was the rural area which was more than an hour and half minutes away from the downtown. Just going to the near stores were required some kind of transportation. Around the area, the school bus and my host family's car and truck were the only transportation to get out of the house.

Attending school was another different matter that I had to

This experience taught me numerous new things that shaped who I was and altered the way I returned to my community, Los Angeles. The most important thing I learned at this internship was the ability to “fit into” this new way of life. While studying abroad, I believe that this skill I gained from my internship will allow me accommodate and adapt easily to the new culture. I also learned from this internship how to properly communicate with new people in general, but also with people who may not be familiar with my own culture and lifestyle. This new skill will also allow me to communicate and connect with other students while abroad by expressing an interest in who they are. I will also be able to grow a connection with my peers by showing them a bit of my culture and help them learn a new way of life.…

Looking back at my year in the United States, it's hard to believe what I have been through. Although it has been almost two years, all the memories are still vivid in my mind. Sometimes, I can still hear loud cheering of my friends during an American football game and the calling of the customers at the restaurants I worked at. The year might not have been perfect, but it was my best year so far. My experience in America had transformed me from a spoiled child to a young adult with a broader and more positive insight on the…

They need to let it go. Although today’s teenagers are not as experienced in the ways of life, they among the smartest people in the world.
