My dream house
Breathtaking Masterpiece
Everyone likes dreaming. It helps us to overcome the difficulties of our daily routine. As a rule, people imagine that they have a lot of money, their own family which is happy and full of social life. Have you ever dreamt about a house that you really want? “A house is a machine for living in.” written by Le Corbusier, a well known architect in Switzerland 1923. Do you agree it? If you can design your own house, what would that be? In my mind, I need a house which has full of sunlight, quite wide of space and natural of ambience. This house would be shined by the sun and moon light in the countryside. I do not want to have it in town, because usually there are so many buildings that will block the sunlight. I would like to have one or two windows at least in every bedroom, including kitchen and bathroom. Every time the sun is rising, it will light up every corner in this house. When everyone wakes up as soon as we just feel like a new born baby, so much energy we get. When time to sunset, you will see that the house is still beautiful by the light, shining on the front porch.
I imagine that my house would be huge like museum and have three stories. There would be three bedrooms at least in the second and third floor, not to mention that there must be a huge gymnasium near my bedroom which is located in the second floor. In the third floor, you will find out a very technical 3D movie theater in there. On the rooftop, it has the best amusement place, such as swimming pool, beer bar, DJ stage and so on. You will never get any feeling like boring. Back to the appearance of the house, it also has an ancient style facade with four columns, and the staircases lead up to the front door.
My house would make you feel comfortable. When you walk near to the front door of the house, you will see a fountain, it has a magical function. Everybody seems like very enjoyable and relax once they walk by the fountain. That is right. It is fragrance which

The house was a small, white cottage-style with black trimming and a beautiful flower garden that led up to the front door. I can still smell the aroma of freshly cut flowers that would occupy the crystal clear glass vase on the dining room table. There were draping, well-established grape vines that covered the wooden arbor as you pulled into the driveway. It was the house my Grandma had lived in for most of her life and you could almost see the memories that encumbered the atmosphere. When I entered her house it was usually through the back door where I would have to navigate my way through the very flimsy, squeaky screen door that lead…

In this paper, I will discuss what a “home” is and the different levels of meaning it has for people. Specifically, I will discuss how Aristotle and Socrates define the home. Most people think of a place to live when they think of the word, “home”; it is a place where one bathes, sleeps, eats, and spends most of one’s day in the comfort of your own privacy. But what is the difference between a “house” and a “home”? People tend to make more of an emotional connection to the word “home” than they do to the word “house.” Although a house can also be described as a place where one lives, bathes, sleeps, and eats, it is commonly associated with being an actual building structure whereas a “home” can signify more than just a physical place. As traditions of home-life become less and less observed due to constant societal changes, we become increasingly attached towards a nostalgic meaning of home. “Home” is a place where one can find one’s roots, a place that will always be there, loyally waiting for one’s return.…

In addition to it, on a table against a wall placed cupcakes and candies which make the ground floor smells warm and inviting and blessedly familiar. There is a pool table on one side of the lounge and a table tennis table on the other side beside couches. In the middle are three elevators and from across is a wall of mailboxes. It would take approximately a minute to get to the floor that I live in, the 20th floor. Step out of the elevator after the sound “ding”, the carpeted floor gives it a wonderfully homely character. My room is a double split room, it is allocated evenly on both sides and is furnitured with essentials such as closet, table and mattress on the base. As I jump on the bed, the bed-springs does not creak and the mattress is very soft to lay on. When open up the window, the sound of the city mixed with the sound of wind can be heard clearly along with the sunset and city view outside my window is quite a sight to behold. The throw pillow in bright global textiles and the traditional patterned bedding that I brought all the way from my own country, China, lightened this little room. All these small parts all take parts to build up a home feeling which is one of the main reasons why Lawrinson Hall is my favorite building on campus.…

My dream is to live in a big detached house surrounded by a big garden full of flowers and trees. I wouldn't like to live in an apartment with blocks of flats and rude neighbors making noise in the middle of the night. Therefore, my dream house should have the characteristics that represent my spiritual world and personality with its location as well as its inner and outer design.…
