Christmas is a special time of the year for my family, because we get to see everyone and spend quality time with them. I remember the Christmas I had when I was 10 years old, just like it was yesterday. I remember waking up and finding a stocking filled with little toys and candy, and an orange in the bottom. I got tic-tacs, skittles, cap gun, Swedish fish and a lot more. The stocking has always been my favorite part just because of all the neat stuff one may find in it.
When I was finished with my stocking I headed down the stairs and into my living room. This is where I was most excited. As I was walking down the stairs I saw my mom, dad, and brother on the couch. My brother, Bass, was always the first one up. He would get up around 6:00 am and open all his presents before anyone else was awake. I noticed the bright lights on out tree and the decorations that hung from the lively green pine. I looked outside and saw a couple feet of snow lying on the ground with icicles hanging from the roof of the house. What a sight it was. With wrapping paper and presents on the floor, it was hard to get to presents without stepping on anything or anyone.
When I finally reached my presents, I was pleased with what I saw. I had around 10 presents. Three were small, and seven were good size. I always open up the small presents first, hoping that it is money, or a video game, which is easy to tell because of the hard, square shaped wrapping. Many times it would be clothing that I did not like, but would thank my mom with a smile and tell her I liked it, not wanting to hurt her feelings.
After all the presents were open and we had time to test them out and approve them, we headed down to my grandmothers house. This was my dad’s mom, and we always have a blast. It was good because I also got presents here, and not just at my house. My aunts and uncles, cousins, and grandparents would all get my brother and me a gift. My dad has...
