My Career Research Paper

My career and educational goal is to become a Registered Nurse in the future. I have decided to become a nurse when I was fourteen years old. In Yemen there were not enough nurses, my aunt was at the hospital for almost three years. She didn’t have someone who takes care of her like nurses. When I came to the United States, my main goal was to become a nurse and still it’s my educational goal. Now as a students at City College, I am trying to achieve my goal, and I know that there are some requirements I still have to do in order to achieve it.
My mother influences me always to be a good student, and being able to achieve my goals. I told her that I want to become a nurse, and I am not good at math. She said that math needs more practice and one day you will be able to achieve my goal. She always have a growth mindset that I and my siblings will be what we want to be in the future. My mother tells us that knowledge is power. She didn’t get the opportunity to go to school when she was a child. She was the oldest and had to work hard in order to provide good life for her family. Education helped me translate to my mother when she goes to the offices and hospitals. Education also gave me the opportunity to help my sisters and brothers in order to help them through understanding English. When I was in Yemen I didn't know anything about having a career in the future .Education also have helped me thinking about my own future.
