I am a mother of three and have been away from school for quite a long time, I finished school at the age of 18 in Tertiary level after pursuing a certificate in Horticulture. From then on I decide to look for a job to help support my family and also to decided to do something different rather that going back to continue my studies in University. I applied to a Field Technician post in the Ministry of Agriculture and successfully got the job as a casual employee. I started in a Tissue Culture Laboratory to be honest I have no idea what Tissue Culture is all about and what work that I am going to deal with but I am a quick learner and I did perform the best that I can to do the job well with the best that I can. To my surprise I got promoted in the middle of that same year in a staff position and became a permanent staff in the Crops Research Station at Nuu. I didn’t stop there I said to myself if I can do this then I can do other things greater that this, so I work harder and harder to do everything that was given to me by my Senior supervisor and I always try to finished everything in time so that I don’t have any outstanding work or to hear any rumors that I am slow and not doing well. I relied on my father above to give me strength so that I could be able to wake up in another day and do things well for the benefit of what was given to work and to help support my family.
It only take me two years to work there before I decide to applied in two vacancy available at that time within the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries one was Laboratory Technician in the Animal Production and Health Division at Avele which is still under the Ministry of Agriculture but totally different Division and the other was the Development Officer at where I was working at that time. I applied believing that if ever I got any of this post I will have the confident to do it with the best of my knowledge and skill so that I could be able to gain good experience for
