Good afternoon principals, judges, parents, teachers and schoolmates. I’m Lily from QESOSA Branch Primary School. Today I’m going to talk about my best friend.
I believe a friend is the sunshine of life. It’s good to have a friend with you in good and bad times. I’m very lucky to have May as my friend.
May is 11 years old. Her eyes are big and she likes the colour yellow very much. May is kind and helpful and she always helps me with my homework. Once, I forgot how to draw a picture in the computer lesson and she helped me. I was able to finish my work. She helped me a lot! Another time, on a perfectly fine day I failed in my Maths exam so it was bad. I wanted to cry, my friend, May, rush to me and said” Not to worry, you can do better next time! “ I saw her grade, it’s only fifty three! May is a clever girl who always gets good marks in the exams, but this time she didn’t do very well. She encouraged me to do better next time. She believed she can have better marks next time so she was not upset.
I like my friend May as she is a true sunshine in my life. From her, I’ve learned to help others and never give up at any time.
