I was only eight years old when my Mother passed away and it has been sixteen years since I learned through my family that she had become a star in the sky. My Father, who committed to take care of my two siblings and myself did an outstanding job raising us. However, I still lacked that unique love called “Mother love”. The time passed and my siblings flew away from home and it was only me left home with my father. I grew up thinking that I needed to become a successful woman, but that I needed to become a strong woman no matter what. Through the pass of the years, I acquired new beliefs based on my day to day experiences. When experiencing tough situations, people are required to embrace themselves for surpassing such challenges which in effect force them to become stronger while becoming more experienced in life. Furthermore, it is through misfortune occurrences in which people bring a float their strengths to cope with future challenges that might be faced. For instance, facing my mother’s death helped me to become stronger and to become a brave woman. I feel that ever since I lived such traumatic event, I do not give up easily upon challenges. In addition, both my belief and my religion have taught me it is through turbulent events that one becomes capable and knowledgeable in life. As a result, I value courage because it is needed to survive when facing obstacles in life.
