My Application To My Personal Statement Of Purpose
Through my application to The University of Toledo, a multitude of characteristics of my personality is displayed. However, other aspects of my character were unable to be expressed in any of the questions asked, as I am a remarkably dynamic person.
One personality trait that may be inferred from my application is my passion for learning. Throughout my years of schooling, I have constantly searched for ways to greater my knowledge and expand my learning abilities. Due to my interest in learning, I am an eminently diligent student. Although my grades portray this, it cannot be fully expressed in the form of numbers and letters. Upon my entrance to high school, I became aware of the wide range of topics I could explore. There are several circumstances throughout my life that had the potential to deter or prevent me from reaching my goals. For example, I have a disease that prevents my blood from properly clotting; My disorder could have prevented me from taking risks that could have harmed me throughout my learning. I have traveled to Costa Rica with my Spanish Club to educate myself about the culture and improve my Spanish. During my trip, there were numerous occurrences that could have required me to seek medical attention. However, I did not allow this to restrict my aspirations. Furthermore, I face issues with my home life, including the suspension of my father's parenting time due to a court order and the difficulties my parents have in communication. The adversity during this time captivated much of my time with the potential to detract my focus on my schoolwork. My perseverance through this time has not only allowed me to grow as a person, but to maintain my desire to continue learning in
