My Adventures
Having a family reunion that you’ve never been experienced five years ago was totally a thrill for me. Especially, because my two aunties on my father side came here in the Philippines from abroad last April this year. At first, I never realized that cause to have a family reunion but since my two aunties had planned to have it, then we’re really happy and excited as well. The day we met them – my aunties, my parents and my relatives got together easily and I saw that they really missed my aunties because they cried and hugged each other especially my grandmother. After that, days passed by until April 19 came. In that day, they planned to have the biggest part of the reunion. My aunties said that we will go to Hundred Islands in Alaminos on April 20 so they hired two vans to all of us. But before we got to the place where we will meet each other to finally go to Hundred Islands, I and my parents together with my auntie got to have nervous because that early morning, 4:30 a.m., had a heavy rains and thunders so it’s just not an ordinary adventure for us. Then after that finally, we were already at Hundred Islands. We first rode on a big motorboat and I saw so many big and small islands that were full of trees. Maybe it took an hour until we got to Romulo Island. I already knew how to float in water. We got so much fun. But it’s not yet the end of our adventure because after two days, we’ve been in Manaoag for thanksgiving and went to Baguio after that. So that was so memorable for me because the places that I did not expect to go into it was where we went through.

One of the most memorable moments I have experienced was four years ago, when I traveled from Matamoros, Tamaulipas to San Antonio, Texas. I had the opportunity of visiting San Antonio for the first time, and more importantly, of spending time with my family who I had not seen in years prior to the trip. Spending time with my family is of great value and importance to me, so I became utterly excited to see them as soon as I had the chance.…

My heart is a mixture of hope and hopelessness, all around me is despair and misery and yet if I give up I perish. Every where I go I have to hold on to my emotions. Wherever I walk I see mutilated bodies and to think, that person could have had a life, makes you brake inside. But you have to stay strong, I got used to them, it becomes just a part of my nature. I mean, I see a body and then I disassociate myself completely from it. It was complete genocide. We unwillingly got forced onto a train. There were more thane 30 of us all in one carriage it was dark and there was only one window on the train. There was constant voices yelling, crying, mourning and screaming. The heroes’ journey teaches us to appreciate the beginning, middle and end of a person seeking to change, grow, sacrifice, kill your old self and transform. Finding their own, ambitious person by learning their strengths and weaknesses. Personally I loved this book because it helped me understand my own characteristics that have led me to come up with the concept I am introducing today. My journey has guided me through the ordinary world to coming full circle and reaching the special world in coordination with this concept. For me I have always been a warrior, magician, a shape shifter who thinks about the world in a different way because of my upbringing and adversities I have had to face as a child. My journey goes far before this paper or…

“Follow your passion, be prepared to work hard and sacrifice, and, above all, don't let anyone limit your dreams” Donovan Bailey. This reminds me of what my great aunt would always say.
