Parents Just Don’t Understand
- Dj jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince All his life his parents controlled everything he has done even the smallest things like what type of clothes he has to wear. When he gets out of line once they freak out. His parents hold him back way to much so it’s more likely for kids to act out when they have a lack of trust or super strict parents right off the bat. When he went school shopping he wanted to get the coolest clothes because he thinks it’s important for his rep and how you get friends… but his mom thinks that doesn’t choose your real friends. Its true but sometimes when were so young were not as wise as they are. Sometimes parents are just to wise for us and they come at us with the strong truth and it may offend is in a lot of ways because parents just don’t understand how the teenage mind works!!! They forget what it was like to be a teen. His mom yells at him a lot and it adds stress. Most of the time they only do everything they do because they care and they may not know how to show us in a good way is what I think will means when he says parents just don’t understand. Every kid will get into trouble. Every kid will disappoint their parents at least once weather they mean to or not. Every child has some sort of stress. Every kid will dislike their parents more than once because parents just don’t understand that’s the meaning of the song: I think, and I think that’s the reason why he wrote this song! As time goes on generations change with new styles involving peers, pressures, love ect. And parents don’t understand the changing because they’re so use to what they grew up with and what they learned, they try to apply to our life. Times change and so do a lot of the challenges and issues teens face. For instance, they never had a cell phone. Kid’s today panic if they go to the bathroom without it because they might miss something while they pee. Wills parents have a hard time disciplining
