Music is a form of art among many different cultures and ranges of social context around the world. Music is not something you need a lot of money for; or even very little money for. They have free stations and apps with now day technology that allows you to enjoy music with no cost. It does not matter if you have no experience about rhythm, beat, or tone. Music is purely the entertainment of enjoying something that can bring us all together. There are many different genres of music and it can be interpreted in many forms as well. We all have different tastes in what we each like, so by experiencing different varieties we may be allowed to be similar and different at the same time with the people all around us. Personally I use music just as much as I use air. It is something I have always had and basically needed. I use music for many reasons; whether to change my emotion from sad to happy or from happy to excited. Music allows myself to personally experience my past memories and events all over again by being connected to a song, band, artist, or genre. As well as using it to show who I am. It shows who I am by the type of music I listen to and how it affects me in not just my everyday life but how I react with people too. It is something I can look up too and rely on when I need support. I can express myself without words by music.

“Paradise,” is a popular song from Coldplay’s album Mylo Xyloto. I connect to this song through the feeling of the music and lyrics, as well as the beat itself. Lead singer Chris Martin sings,”She expected the world, but it flew away from her reach.” These particular lyrics remind me of how when I was younger I had all these big plans and wanted to be president, an astronaut, a lawyer, doctor, music artist, painter, professional soccer player.
