Murderer Narrative
I am home alone, and I hear on the news about the profile of a murderer who is on the loose, I take a look out the sliding glass doors to my backyard.
And I notice a man standing out in the rain.
He fits the profile of the murderer exactly. And he is smiling at me,
I gulped, picking up the phone to my right and dialing 911. I look back out the glass as I press the phone to my ear, and notice he is much closer to me now.
I dropped the phone in shock there are no footprints in the mud.
It’s his reflection... 10 hours earlier
I woke up early for school
“Oh shoot I forgot to do my homework for Mr.Schmidt”
He’s going to yell at me! So I did the homework. “I have it all done” I said.
So I walk to school and I was early for the first time. I

So I sat down in my chair. And Mr.Ferrer said, “why didn't you bring your chromebook”
And I said, “ I left it charging at home.”
Which I lied to him because he’ll get mad at me and yell, so I continue doing my work and the bell rang for second period and I went to the GYM.
It was okay because we had to run like always…
“Today is not my best day,it's not even a good day, IT A BAD DAY!.”
I said. “Third period was great because The Legacy youth project or know as LYP.” “We all had fun because we a had team building activity.” I said
5 hours later “Yeah!! school is finally over.” I said. My mom came and picked me up from school and said “that they're going to be out of town for tonight and that i’m going to be home alone just for the night.” In sarcasm, I said “yaya your going to be out all night and me home alone and doing nothing.”
We made it home and they had everything ready. So my parent left at 9. So I watched the news to see what’s going, and I hear on the news about the profile of a murderer who is on the loose, I take a look out the sliding glass doors to my backyard.
And I notice a man standing out in the rain.

Another article I would like to discuss is from People magazine written by Jeff Truesdell, Neighbors of Making a Murderer's Steven Avery Speak Out About His Guilt or Innocence: 'Those of Us Who Live Here Know He's Guilty.’ In this article, Jeff Truesdell interviewed locals of Manitowoc County; Steven Avery’s neighbors. The neighbors paint an incredibly different picture than what is provided in Making a Murderer. The neighbors discuss how much safer they felt now that Steven Avery was back in jail, and how when he was released the first time they believed something strange happened. The general consensus of his neighbors was that he was guilty for the assault he was in jail for originally, and for the crimes he is in jail for now. One neighbor…

It is because he struggles that he opens up to the sheriff to begin with, and it is why he cannot fathom his girlfriend taking part in the murders alongside him, yet can articulate himself as killing the people on his own. Therefore, I believe that somewhere in his mind the narrator realizes that murdering is not right, and that explains why he defends his baby so much. Likewise, his moral dilemma is more apparent when he pleads for the sheriff to let his girl die with him though he does not state it outright. Because of his obsession, because he holds her in the highest and most innocent esteem, it is almost as if he is saying “if I cannot be with her, then no one can.” Ultimately, this piece encapsulated the mindset of a delusional killer remarkably, and I believe that it provides an excellent, yet realistic dialogue that could occur between someone like a convicted murderer and…

I was exactly like her, my great aunt Burrell. At least that’s what my mom told me. I remember going over to her apartment and seeing yarn strewn throughout. I love to craft just like her. I would have loved to be just a little bit older, or for her to be a little bit younger, to learn from her. Her apartment always the smell of fresh roses with the slightest hint of smoke from the previous owner. Little did aunt Burrell know her apartment would be her final resting place. My great aunt's death tore me apart. I was never that close with her, I didn’t visit every week. The reason I had my coming of age moment was not only because she died, but because of my mom.…

He took a sip from his coffee mug and went back to his puzzle book. I took advantage of the silent moment to eat a few pancakes. I hated disappointing him so I decided not to tell him about speech class. After I hastily stuffed myself with eight delicious pancakes and two glasses of iced tea, I stood up slowly making an effort to leave. However, a single question came from him asking if something was wrong made me want to tell him everything not because I expected him to tell me it was ok, but because I felt guilty not telling him. His voice was also so promising that I knew that he would…

“Kringg!” The bell rang. I was gasping for air and run as fast as I can before the prefects can see me. Playing computer games with my father last night was absolutely great. No regret of it. As soon as I reached the school’s gate, I saw Mira who also a prefect. Mira showed her innocent smile to me which I really hate most. She asked me why I’m late and I answered, “Why do you need to know, it’s better late than never”. I swoosh my long hair to her face. But she keeps on smiling. Our school principle watched us from behind and how could I didn’t realize of his presence. Now, I have to bear his babbling because of that silly thing I’ve done. Argh! I wish I didn’t come late but no use crying over spilt milk.…
