Murder Party Satire
Murder party is the low budget directorial debut of Jeremy Saulnier, which is a comedy/horror film about a man who receives a mailed invitation to a Halloween costume party from a group of self-indulgent hipsters. Who have an intent on murdering him for the sake of their art.
The majority of this film could be examined as a satire over artist and their pursuit of success. Personally over the past few years of going and participating in similar type of underground art exhibits I found the whole concept of the movie refreshingly original and intriguing. As I generally got a kick out of some of the references and depictions displayed in the film that we’re admittedly spot on. Overall Murder party is a solidly entertaining film from a director
