Mullet Finger Character Analysis
In the fictional novel Hoot written by Carl Hiaasen, Mullet Fingers is intelligent. “Escaping from a juvenile hall Mullet Fingers used Dana as a decoy”(286-287). This proves Mullet fingers intelligence because escaping from a juvenile hall Mullet Fingers realizes that Dana is a slow brute so the police would be more interested in Dana. Another analysis is while Mullet Fingers is escaping he saw that Dana could not keep up with him so the police would go after Dana not him. The other piece of evidence is “ In the house Mullet Fingers with Beatrice's assistance Mullet Fingers escapes out of the house while his mom and dad are fighting”(285-286). Something noticeable in this quote was in the house Mullet Fingers used his intelligence by escaping while his mom and dad were fighting. This proves his intelligence because only an intelligent person would do that.

While reading the book, we find out that Mrs. Hedges works for Junto he is also interested in Ms. Hedges but unfortunately since they are not the same race the two cannot be lovers. While Mrs. Hedges runs a whore house for Junto; which is common within the working class where people go to satisfy their needs we find out that Ms. Hedges is very loyal to Junto in the business and is also to not mess up her own source of money. ‘Mis Hedges won’t let him come in no more’ Mary said. ‘He spent all his money. And she says she aint in business for her health.’ (page 188) The scene with Mary and the sailor out in the hall foreshadows the loyalty Ms. Hedges have towards Junto because if Junto didn’t look over Ms. Hedges how she would not actually be in business to have her whore house, police would more than likely shut that down instantly.…

In the beginning of the chapter “Cottleston Pie” Rabbit attempted to be rid of Kanga and Roo with a clever idea despite his intellect his plan failed. The Cottleston Pie Principle was based upon a song Pooh sang in Winnie the Pooh however the term “Cottleston Pie” merely meant Inner nature. A few quotes from Pooh himself were served as examples for deep messages from the master of Taoism Chuang-Tse. Tigger the energetic exuberant character demonstrated a person who does not know their limitations. Cherry Valance is a Social, who has a good life. Bob was her boyfriend and very rarely does she get in trouble, but maybe take into consideration of who actually caused the most inconveniences. Cherry did not help at all. She mostly just caused trouble. For example, when the gang met Cherry and Marcia, the girls took to much of their own time to be with them. Sooner or later Ponyboy got too attached to Cherry and she didn't have any concern if it was bad or good. Cherry left it be, and now she made the gang into having more hassles. Another specimen is when Cherry, Marcia, Bob, and Randy all went to the movie night, if Bob and Randy never got drunk that night the girls would have stayed with their boyfriends and would have never met the gang.…

In Pigman by Paul Zindel (1968) Lorraine is a very cautious character. Her cautiousness shows when she is unwilling to go to Mr. Pignati's house to go to collect money for a "charity", fearing what could happen next, she then "chickened out and said she wouldn't go with me to collect the money."(29) Lorraine's cautiousness also shows when she tells John "'Are you crazy?'"(130) when she learns that John plans to host a few friends over, afraid of what could happen. Boeing Boeing is a ludicrous farce by Marc Camoletti that provides the audience with a new but majorly predictable twist at every turn. The main characters, Bernard and Robert, portray an unrealistic story in which Bernard gets engaged with three women and yet does not marry any of them. In the time the three women spend with Robert, an old friend of Bernard, two of the women, Gretchen and Gloria, end up really liking him, and one of them, Gretchen, decides to get engaged to Robert. The play is mainly about how Bernard loses all his fiancés and Robert makes the decision to adapt to the lifestyle that Bernard had. The play flies the audience through many hilarious encounters in hopes of teaching the audience one thing: having a complicated lifestyle [with multiple women] is not the best option for a man just looking to pass the time.…

Aristotle once said, “There is no great genius without some touch of madness.” Everyone has their flaws, but that doesn’t mean that they’re not intelligent. Fahrenheit 451 is a novel by Ray Bradbury about a man named Montag. He is a fireman who questions his life, searching for true happiness. The Truman Show is a fantasy film about a man named Truman who has been on a reality television show his whole life but doesn’t know it. He didn’t know that his whole life was fake, with actors pretending to be his friends and family. However, Truman did know that something wasn’t right in his life; he was unsatisfied and wanted to find out how he could fix that. I believe that both Montag and Truman are intelligent because they knew that something was wrong in…

Upon reading the two short stories, “The Fat Man” and ‘The Monkey’s Paw”, I have found many differences and few similarities. With the stories both being from the same genre, horror, I thought they would have more in common. Turns out, different subgenres really do make a difference. “The Fat Man” fits very well in the weird tales subgenre, while “The Monkey’s Paw” fits more into the gothic subgenre. Both very different subgenres.…
