Muhammad Ali Rhetoric
How did you choose your topic: We chose our topic of Muhammad Ali because Ali was not just a fighter in the ring, he was a fighter for all African Americans, for all freedom fighters, for all the segregated and for every struggling Muslim. Ali took a stand being an African American Idol to all of his followers.

How did you conduct your research: My partner and I gathered information online, from books, and documentaries. We also asked local boxing coaches to gather their point of views on the G.O.A.T.

How did you select AND create your presentation: We selected to choose the category website because we are able to give our audience a different perspective of Ali's life. We created our presentation by exchanging information between each

In his 2016 Time editorial “Politically incorrect? Or master strategist? Try both,” basketball icon and human rights activist Kareem Abdul-Jabbar claims that presenting examples of extreme political correctness allows the political incorrect to deny the problem exist at all. Jabbar makes an effective argument using mockery and pathos. Jabbars clever use of mocker throughout the article helps his argument. He writes, “The real problem, they want to tell us, is the cure. As do vaccination deniers and climate change skeptics” (Jabbar Para. 10). This is a subtle jab at the Republican party and is meant to discredit the party. Jabbar uses this mockery throughout the article and if not looked over carefully it may go unnoticed. It is used to…

Our history fair project is for “Taking a Stand in History” is on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We chose Dr. King as our topic for this project because we think he was a very brave individual who fought for equal rights for colored men and women. Dr. King definitely took a stand in history by giving speeches, leading marches, and doing everything he could for black America all the while staying peaceful and nonviolent. I think this particular topic is important because King has done a lot for our country, we still remember his bravery and passion today. We celebrate him with remembrance on January 16th as MLK day. Dr. King is a remarkable man who deserves to be known as the father of the civil rights movement.…

This is an interesting year in the NBA because there are plenty of notable names that will be free agents at the end of the season. The summer could bring on the ultimate game of musical chairs for players, swapping teams for more lucrative contracts and a better chance at winning a championship. Of all the free agents, LeBron James has probably been the most talked about when it comes to 2010 restricted free agency. There has been plenty of speculation about the teams he will go to next year if he decides to leave Cleveland. After a loss tonight in game 6 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals, the talk has already begun to escalate as LeBron’s decision becomes more imminent. For that reason I choose to evaluate LeBron’s post-game press conference from the game 6 loss to the Celtics. It is not the typical press conference because of the aforementioned free agency. Moreover, it is an opportunity for him to talk to the fans of Cleveland, and almost apologize for not living up to this year’s expectations. It is also different from the typical press conference because there is some persuading on James’ part. Convincing the reporters in the room, and consequently the people paying attention to the situation, that he has not given any thought to what team he going sign with in the off season.…

I chose to complete my case study on Oprah Winfrey. I will look at Oprah when she was a child growing up and living life in her adult life. The reason why I chose to write about Oprah is because; she’s such a kind hearted woman that has worked for everything that she has. Oprah is a strong black woman that I can relate to as our childhoods are similar in many ways. Her story is amazing and she sheds light on dreams that we all may have even if we have started off wrong or even fell off. Oprah’s life is proof that with hard work and dedication anything is possible.…

    Drug Trafficking Proposal

The topic that was selected was Drug Trafficking in the United States. The reason this was chosen was because there are so many issues that surround this topic. These issues are growing more and more each year. Some of these issues are not enough border patrol to stop drugs from entering the U.S., more drugs each year are entering the U.S, drug related deaths are on the rise, and the funding to increase border patrol. There is a lot of information to research and argue about this topic.…

When preparing the presentation, you should remember these basic rules: • Be on time. • Anticipate the needs and expectations of audience. • Familiarize yourself with company representatives and understand their role in the site selection process. Learn as much as you can about the company by using the Internet and the information sources that you use when you first identify the target companies. The presentation should incorporate the following: 1. Begin by outlining the structure and content of your 20-minute presentation but prior to doing so ask the company to clarify their specific project interests. If necessary, adjust your presentation to make sure that these interests are adequately addressed. 2. When making the presentation, remember to use these techniques: • Develop an attention–grabbing introduction. • Prepare and utilize visual aids. If more than four people are present, use overhead slides. You should have a color slide show which can be shown on a laptop computer or with transparencies on an overhead projector. • Make sure that your visual aids complement your presentation and provide additional information. The slides must be informative and should focus on the key benefits available. They should have a high-quality appearance in order to give your agency a professional image. Do not…
