1 Quality Service
1.1 MTR - its reputation in safety, reliability and quality Service, MTR ensures to provide safe and reliable rail transport services for millions of passengers in Hong Kong, mainland of China and the cities of overseas. In the meantime, through effective and efficient management system. Public has every confidence in constant using the rapid transit railway system.
1.2 MTR have installed a range of facilities including tactile guide paths, audio induction loops, lifts and ramps in which are convenience the disabled, the elderly and people traveling with babies or small children for easy access to destination.

2 Marketing Sharing
2.1 Railway operations – MTR runs railway operations (Light Rail and the Airport Express) in Hong Kong. Its network covers Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. In addition, the Corporation has expanded into the Mainland of China (Shenzhen and Beijing), UK (London), Australia (Melbourne) and Sweden (Stockholm).
2.2 Property developments – Property is one of the main businesses of the MTR. These commercial and residential properties are developed and managed along the routes of its railway. Also, the new lines contain property development rights.
2.3 Shopping centers – MTR invest to develop large scale shopping centres around MTR stations. Its engage the shopping centre as long-term investments and provides property management services.

3 Successful factors
3.1 Constantly enchance railway network – (Hong Kong, Mainland, Oversea)
3.2 Safety Management System – MTR has put a lot of effort to improve and establish a comprehensive safety management system
3.3 Patents – It is MTR’s strength. MTR has patented on its the subway system and railway technology in Hong Kong. Also, MTR have exclusive railway network services in which MTR has merged with KCR completely. It provides new opportunities to develop its transport system at the competitive market.

    In terms of transparency, MTRC failed to create a spirit of openness in marketing operations.
