Ms. Clark Argumentative Analysis
CW Showell arrived at Downingtown East High school to speak with Christian Clark. CW observed Christian who appeared in good spirits. CW asked Christian about the incidents with his mother.

Christian explained that he and his mother have been arguing "all of last week" (Nov 6 to Nov 10). Christian stated that his mother called the police on him after he was "being verbally aggressive". Christian states that he doesn't want to be in his mother's house anymore because their issues are starting to get physical. Christian states that most of the arguments trigger him getting upset because Ms. Clark tends to talk negatively about Christian's Paternal side of the family. Christian mentioned two "serious" incidents that occurred last week.

Due to his parents’ “big-wig” occupations—Law and Business—his parent were often flying between Newport, Rohde Island and New York City, leaving their 3 children with the estate staff. This being said, the Wells children were never under-loved. Weekends were family affairs, and 3 to 4 vacations were taken each year—Winter, Summer, Spring, etc—to instill family values into their busy lives. Hard work, perseverance, and love were core ideas in the Wells household. Christian lived on the upside of life, but was never as spoiled as the other Cliff Walk Neighborhood kids. This led Christian to work extremely hard for his gifts. Every talent, every specialty was a gain brought upon by emotional, intellectual, and physical…

Donald L. Niewyk’s fifth and sixth chapters both deal more with outside perspectives and outside reactions than it does with those who were persecuted. The fifth chapter, “Bystander Reactions,” offers four different arguments as to why bystanders acted they way they did during the Holocaust. The sixth chapter, “Possibilities of Rescue,” discusses three different viewpoints on what foreign governments could have done to prevent the Holocaust. These two chapters conclude Niewyk’s book The Holocaust and wrap up the final sequence of events surrounding the Holocaust and the camps.…

Despite the conflicting public opinion, Chris McCandless succeeded in his goal to survive in the wilderness and taught the world valuable lessons in the process. Chris McCandless “probably died on August 18th, 112 days after he had walked into the wild.” (119, Krakauer) He survived with very little gear and food, even though he was essentially cut off from the world. To have lived for a little over three months totally self-sufficient is impressive. Chris’s goal was to be independent and live off the land for a while. In his mindset, he achieved in his goal. Wayne Westerberg had employed Chris for two short amounts of time, but said “He was the type of person who insisted on living out his beliefs.” (Krakauer, 67) This was why Chris was determined to go to Alaska, instead of listening to the protests of others.…

In recent discussions of Susan Bordos reading about women’s pressures in society, one controversial issue discusses how women have expectations in society that they think they have to follow. These expectations consist of being able to cook and work in the kitchen, look beautiful, and dress certain ways to gain attention. In contrast, other arguments are; men do not have to worry about their weight, they should be strong and maintain a fit body, and not needed to cook or help out in the kitchen. Proponents of this position, emphasize that women in this world have to follow what society portrays of them, otherwise by not doing it, they will not receive the same attention as they would if they listened to society. Overall, the issue presented…

Pro-choice supporters and those who feel strongly about a woman's health privacy have tried to unstigmatize abortions by beginning at the language they use. It is impressive how going from “abortion on demand, without apology” to “not in her shoes” would create a difference of feel in the topic. Cockrill also makes the point that tolerance is not the only thing we can do and lists some ideas of a stigma free worlds which includes connection, visibility, integration and wildly enough peace. As chaotic as the world may be peace would not be as simple as the others and so instead of peace wouldn’t it be more effective to simply offer understanding to the knowledge that the cause for an abortion is way more complex than a checked marked box. Nonbelievers may have a right to be cynical if they visualize the wrong thing, and do not put the action into their vision. Simply picturing yourself winning a deal won’t guarantee it (Vanderkam, 2015). Focus your vision on what you can control. You have to believe in the Universal Power and understand the science of how the brain works. As an indivisible, you remain part of the great Universal Power! Does this mean that your thoughts can come true? Yes! Not all of them, only those that are focused, well-defined, and repeated often. When we visualize “It allows us to simulate reality at will, and, because of this, allows us to predict what we would experience in a specific situation or after we perform a specific action. I think Okonkwo was really trying to kill Ekwefi. He was already angry from his banana tree, but his wife talking back to him would definitely tip him over the edge. The last time he was angry, he beat his wife during the Week of Peace. It is well known that punishment for this could be the gods destroying the village, despite this he beats his wife anyway. It is obvious that when he is angry he has no self control. In addition Okonkwo believes that a man is only a man if he can keep his women in line. So when Ekwefi talks back, she is challenging his authority and basically emasculating him, the thing that Okonkwo fears most. The main argument for Okonkwo not trying to kill his wife is that he used a gun despite knowing that he is a bad shot,…
