1. Introduction

1.1 Company background -Sakura International Buffet (Singapore)

Suki Sushi Pte. Ltd was established in July 2002 with its first restaurant outlet in Lot 1 Shopper’s Mall. Since then, it has slowly expanded, reaching out to different places in Singapore to cater to the needs of the people. It has expanded since then to over 25 outlets in Singapore with the 7 different restaurant concepts, mainly Shabu Shabu, Sakura Charcoal Grilled, Ishi Mura, Nihon Mura, and mostly importantly, Sakura. Sakura has shot to become the most prominent feature of Suki Groups of restaurants and have attracted many Singaporeans to take the time to dine in their affordable yet high-class atmosphere. Buffet once the domain of hotels has found its way to means to other restaurants in Singapore. At all Sakura outlets, their buffet- only restaurant, they are serving more than 100 different selections of international food.(Suki Group of Restaurants, 2013)

According Spring Singapore (2011) research since 2003, Sakura International Buffet Restaurants, under the Suki Group of Restaurants, have been serving up to 100 different varieties of food from Western, Japanese and Chinese cuisines. It has always been a hit with Singaporeans because of the sheer variety it offers and for its spacious outlets that can seat up to 600 people.
