A special thanks to my family specially my mother who supported me throughout my dissertation without which this project would have been very difficult to carry out. A special thanks to my friends Humayun, Adeel and Hasan who accompanied me for the questionnaire part and accompanied me to hand over the questionnaires to the Marks and Spencer staff. In the end I would also like to thank my supervisor Mr. Tim Price and lecturer Mr. Paul Booth who gave me their valuable feedback which helped me do my dissertation on time. Words can’t express how grateful I am to all those people who helped me regarding this dissertation and also I would like to thank all the M&S staff who co operated and filled the questionnaires for me without which dissertation would have not been completed on time.

ABSTRACT
In this research the researcher will examine how the employee’s performance can be improved through the process of performance appraisal. Secondly, to examine the worth of an employee and how beneficial can they be for an organization. Strategies for team management can be improved through performance appraisal. In this study, the aim of the researcher is to make better performance of employees at Marks and Spenser. As employees plays an important role in success of an organization therefore better working of team management as a whole is very important and the researcher will research about the better working of team management and the feedbacks employer receive from employee’s side. At last, researcher will focus on how to enhance the performance appraisal process so that all the negativity can be eliminated by focusing on training process for employees and by eliminating the poor performance of employees by giving them proper guidance.
