The article "Why We Crave Horror Movies" by Stephen King examines the popular trend of attending horror films and he explains several explanations for this craving behavior. King claims that attending these gory films is not just a trend; he believes that it is a necessity. As a result, King claims that we need/crave horror movies for various basic reasons. First, he suggest we need to view these horror films to fulfill our basic need for entertainment and excitement. Also, we need to view these horror films to satisfy a certain psychological requirement. King states that we need to subject ourselves to such irrationality periodically in order to exercise our dark side and release certain evil fantasies, so we do not act on them. Besides that, he indicates that we go to "re-establish our feelings of essential normality". With great subject description, sufficient example and fact support, and dramatic writing King's article appears to present it's self to be accurate. At the same time, some of this article tends to overstate and amplify the facts.…

I read in a news article the other day that the legislature is considering to pass a law to where we wouldn’t be able to watch any violent movies from the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. What is the legislature really thinking, that is all day, 5 am to 10 pm. Okay the legislature decides to take all violent movies away from us. I can gurantee you that somehow someway, someone somewhere will find a way to watch them no matter what. We have the right to speak up if we don’t agree, I mean we do have the Freedom of Speech. But these days who knows, because it seems like if we speak up about things we get shunned for it, or there is no reason. Honestly, I feel like it’s a bad idea, it’s like what else do they want to take away from us.…

Maybe, at beginning, what Chris McCandless pursuing was the happiness, but he hadn’t realized it yet. But finally, he realized it.…

The 1999 film Fight Club, based on Chuck Palahniuk’s novel of the same name, was received as one of the most controversial films of the year, and has since gained a strong cult popularity. The movie places strong emphasis on the evils of modern consumerism, and adopts a “fight the system” attitude throughout. The setting is bleak and degraded – the main character, who remains unnamed for the entirety of the film, inhabits a city that seems perpetually dark and run down. All in all, the film attempts to make a statement on the effects of society norms and “the system” on an individual’s pursuit of happiness; at its center, it employs dissociative identity disorder to do so.…
