Dear Sir or Madam,
I am hereby applying for entrance to Business Studies Graduate Certificate program at the Zurich Business School which is an integral party of International University of Switzerland for the 2013/2014 year.
First of all I would like to present some background about myself. My name is Maria Fedorova, currently living in Moscow, Russia, originally from Yerevan, Armenia.
After completing the Specialist (equals to Bachelor) in Sociology Programme at Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2012, I plan to continue my education and obtain a Graduate Certificate Degree in business studies. Through my courses, I have developed an analytical systematic way of thinking and improved my communication skills due to organizing various social surveys and researches.
While studying, I have become, first, assisting manager, and farther executive manager in event organizing company and continue there working at the present day. I’ve been responsible for a few business and conference centers’ work, including communication with customers, administrative, financial, and marketing functions. By 2 years this job gave me a great experience in public relations, teambuilding skills and basic knowledge in marketing and business administration.
I have always endeavored to upgrade my education in the field of social and public relations and to connect it with the new direction for me, business management. My objective is to become a professional in Business Comunication areas.
With further education in the Zurich Business School, I will be able to combine my proficiency in sociology with business management issues. I will understand the latest theories of management integrated with strong real world experience that will allow me to develop interesting and significant topics for further study and channel my managerial skills into providing unique business solutions.
