The article “Moore’s Law Keeps Going, Defying Expectations” was written by Annie Sneed on May 19, 2015. She is now an environmental reporter and associate director at Scientific American in New York, New York. She is known for writing articles in magazines usually revolving around scientific advancements. The article she has written about Moore’s Law have revolved around the predictions of Moore in technology advancements, specifically the silicon chip.

Most of her journals and articles critically assesses scientific advancements. She has worked as an editorial intern in PRI’s Living on Earth in 2012 and a reporter and producer in 2013 at the same company. She becomes an editorial intern in another company which is the Scientific American in 2014. In 2015, she worked as a researcher and writer in Wired, where she wrote this article. She becomes a freelance science journalist for a year and last October 2016, she came back into Scientific American as an environmental reporter and associate director. Due to this experiences in the world of literature and journalism, Annie wrote articles with critical assessment of the topic.

This Annie Sneed’s article is more on narration of this scientific news. She used the statement of other people and quoted it to support her article. She quoted statements of Brian Krzanich, Intel CEO, Peter Denning, a computer scientist, Calvin Lin, also a computer scientist and of course, Gordon Moore, the person behind the prediction. These statements support how Moore came up with the successful prediction. She uses some examples of advancements in computing like smartphones, laptops and Siri to support that Moore’s Law do really exist in computer

Another one is she differentiated Moore’s Law with a real law. And moreover, the narration of how Moore came up with the prediction with an observation. Since, it was an article form 2015, it was outdated but still supported because Moore’s Law still persist nowadays. More evidences may support this article if it was written this year, as some computer analyst believes that all the computer technology begins from Moore’s idea. All these innovations offer us entertainment, transportation, health-care and education, leading into an efficient life.
