Context Statement:
The main idea I was trying to develop in this poem, was to describe in detail the loneliness and suffering of Penelope’s years away from Ulysses.
The techniques used were really basic; I used lots of adjectives, and tried to use imagery words to give the reader the image of Penelope reaching out to her true love.
Monologue:
For so Long I have suffered inside these forlorn walls
All happiness has been drained from the inside
I am nothing…
Too many days have gone by without a letter
Travelling the seas to unknown lands
Ulysses, my love, come back to me!
Can't you see how I suffer?
The pain is excruciating
Only you can mend my hurting heart
The sun never shines through these great dark halls
Always gloomy and alone
Never any signs of light or hope within these walls
My love for you is overpowering
Oh, how I wish he could return from his travels!
How could he leave me alone for so long?!
I try to be strong, I do, but…
I simply cannot get him out of my wondering mind
You must understand how greatly I need him.
My faithful nurse, you must understand
You keep me strong when I am tired
And for this I am truly thankful
But how can I keep on giving myself false hope?
The days are longer
And the year keeps dragging along
And I will continue to seek the horizons
For that almighty ship
Returning Ulysses to his faithful home at last

In that case I will provoke Romeo at the city centre of Verona so he will start a fight with me. When the prince found out that Romeo starts a fight with me he will banish Romeo from Verona forever instead of me. I sent a challenge letter to Romeo for a duel to the death and vowed to meet him later on. I didn’t know if Romeo will show up but I went off to look for him after the masked ball. Instead of finding Romeo I found his friends, Benvolio and Mercutio. After Romeo arrived, I confronted him to fight with me, but he refused. But his friend Mercutio winded me up after that so I started a fight with him. Romeo tries to stop us, but I stab Mercutio. I ran away after I stabbed Mercutio but I still have my sight set on killing…

Penelope Unraveling Her Work at Night is a beautiful piece of artwork done by Dora Wheeler, an American artist in 1886. As a Graphic Design major I have chosen to analyze this piece of artwork. Often as a visual person, I can get lost in some of the confusing passages that we read. By adding the aspect at looking at the story in a visual way, I am able to understand this story of Penelope in a new and beautiful way.
