Mommy's Monologue

PROLOGUE
A little girl looking the age of five had her platinum blonde hair up in two pigtails and a flowing summer dress on with her eyes crinkled and a blinding smile on her face whilst running around two older adults looking the age twenty-five. The father with dazzling sea green eyes and jet black hair messily atop his head with a physic body and good posture in a blue T-shirt and jeans with his hands tucked in his pockets, stood next to him was an equally as beautiful woman with dark blonde hair tied back in a ponytail and gentle features on her face as a smile tugs her lips. Her slim body figure in a sundress as it flowed in the wind. The couple smiled down at the little girl while holding hands, they approached a hilltop with a single willow tree off to the right. The adults lay down a red and white checkered blanket. The little girl immediately hopping on smiling up towards the sky where the sun slowly sets across the horizon. In the distance cars honking and the light of a city nearby, but that didn’t seem to bother them. The two adults sat
“It sure is” replied the woman. “Mommy, Daddy?” the little girl questions. “Yes” acknowledged the parents. “Why do we see the sunset every day” speculated the girl. Both parents look at each other knowing their true answer, “Because it brings us hope”. Of course, they couldn’t tell that to a little five-year-old. The wife looks concerned not knowing what to say, but the husband just turns toward his daughter and grins, “Because Grace, it’s so pretty! Right?” Their daughter only hums in agreement and the parents sigh in relief The family looks over the city landscape, the sun giving the buildings a tinge of orange. Then the sky turned to dark purple with dazzling stars in the sky the parents stood up and faced Grace. “Hey Grace, it’s time to go now,” her father quietly announced “No,” she blurted, “I like the stars they are pretty too” she
