CM spoke to Mrs. Megaro (caregiver) regarding a follow-up on Jason (youth). CM informed caregiver that CM met with youth at the program; CM and caregiver discussed youth reason for taking Benadryl. Caregiver expressed that she is concerned about youth and does not think youth should transition to a Group Home level of care. CM encouraged caregiver to give it a try; CM and caregiver discussed the positive benefits of the group home level of care. Caregiver agreed. CM informed caregiver that Meghan (therapist) is out sick and CM will follow-up with Sarah (Meghan’s supervisor) regarding the family concerns.

Kathy met with Evelyn in private to gain background to determine the reasons that Evelyn wanted Timmy moved to Hospice of Springville. During the initial with Evelyn, Hospice of Springville, and Pinecrest Intermediate Care Facility, the meeting was headed by Sister Anne, the nurse responsible nurse for overseeing Timmy’s care. Evelyn Brampton become increasingly upset as the meeting progresses after she expressed to Sister Anne, “I don’t want Timmy’s infections treated with antibiotics. Given his condition, treating him with antibiotics is an extraordinary measure, that’s only prolonging his life” (Walsh, 2013, p. 38).
