Modest Proposal On Global Warming
Modest Proposal

Through the research I’ve done on global warming it appears to me that there is no problem with it at all, and that there is nothing to worry about. We need to accept that fact that global warming is actually helping the human race in many different ways. For examples the environment is warming up, the ocean levels are rising, and the increase of carbon dioxide are all benefits to the environment and economy. It’s almost as if global warming is turning the earth into a tropical paradise. When the climate begins to warm up people will no longer have to try and heat their houses saving homeowners and businesses and by the usage of natural gases’, which could be saved for many other things. Is Global warming a real threat? “Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s surface” (Global Warming Nasa.) It has the effect of making the Earth’s surface warmer compared as it was the previous years. This effect is also referred to as the “greenhouse effect.” Accordingly to Global Earth Science, “the global average temperature has increased about 0.7 to 1.4 degrees F (0.4 to 0.8 degrees C) since the late 1800 's and many experts estimate that the average temperature will rise an additional 2.5 to 10.4 degrees F (1.4 to 5.8 degrees C) by 2100 in which, that rate of increase would be the largest increase ever recorded in history.…

Global warming has always been a problem for humans. In the past 650,000 years, According to NASA, Earth’s average temperature has risen 1.7 degrees fahrenheit since 1880 (Global Climate Change). In fact, January of 2017 has been the third warmest ever recorded. More funding should go into helping global climate change because rising sea levels are dangering the land, there is a major decrease in arctic ice, and rising temperatures are causing more animal species to go on the endangered list.…

When talking about this subject, it is important to know what global warming is. There is something called the natural greenhouse effect, and the human enhanced greenhouse effect. If it was not for the sun, we would not have been able to exist. We get solar radiation from the sun. It goes through the atmosphere and warm up our planet, and then the re-radiated heat escapes into space. If the re-radiated heat cannot escape, it will get warmer than it is naturally supposed to. This is happening right now. The rise in temperatures have cause a lot of damage to our planet. This would also lead to more greenhouse gases, especially CO2 and CH4, floating in our…

Controversy over global warming exists as a dispute regarding the nature and consequences of global warming. The theory of global warning as presented in the mainstream media currently assumes that carbon dioxide is an atmospheric greenhouse gas and since humans are producing more carbon dioxide than previously, the temperature must therefore rise. The cause of global warming is not actually known, but in it 's simplest terms the debate boils down to whether or not global warming is caused by human interference or part of a naturally occurring cycle. The debate has recently become one-sided in favor of human interference due mostly to three factors: political pressure on scientists to produce research that supports the global warming theory, public misconception of what scientific consensus is, and an irresponsible that media promotes sensationalized viewpoints to sell advertising.…

Some Americans may wonder why global warming has become so prevalent in the media in the past few years. Global warming is one of the most controversial issues to ever be discussed. The issue, which should be based completely on scientific evidence, is being used in the media as propaganda in order to falsely sway the public’s opinion about the issue. Positions on the issue taken by members of the Republican and Democratic Party are worlds apart. “Polls taken in 2010 found that nearly 70 percent of Democrats Believed that global warming was occurring. Only 30 percent of republicans agreed”(It’s not the science, stupid!). The arguments made by left- wing activists are completely untrue…

Global warming is an epidemic in today’s world referring to the escalation of the average annual temperature. It brings with it a widespread ongoing debate about whether or not the Earth’s temperature is growing due to the emission of gasses from burning fossil fuels. There have been numerous debates, movies, and books on the rising pandemic. It may not seem to affect the world now, but, if true, global warming could cause a serious demise in the quality and quantity of human life. Many people are doubtful when it comes to the idea of the earth gradually moving towards its end, but this issue does not need to be left in the dark.…

All arguments have two sides to them. The global warming issue is not an exception to that general rule. I believe that global warming is partly natural process, but our industrial activities have majorly influenced the climate changes. These changes are causing extinction in some animals like the polar bears and the melting of the Arctic that causes sea levels to rise. Global warming would also cause extreme weather like hurricane Katrina and more frequent and harsher droughts. The warming of the Earth would also bring more disease caring insects to migrate north: bringing plague and disease with them. The extreme weather causes millions of dollars in damage and the diseases cost money to treat and control.…

To ‘normal’ people it sounds like all these scientists and researchers are making a fuss about something so trivial. But is global warming really a trivial matter or, are the people unconscious about the danger of global warming. If you are conscious about it, you will see that the world is changing slowly due to global warming. Ice is melting worldwide, animals have moved to higher and cooler places, precipitation has increased and an increase of insects. But if global warming continues like this, it can become a disaster. There are possibilities that parts of the world will go under water, because the sea level rises. Floods and drought will occur more often, less fresh water will be available, due to the melting of the ice caps. Not only that, but animal species will be extinct, like the polar bear. Researcher Bill Fraser showed that the numbers of Adélie penguins on…

In the past 100 years, the temperature of our Earth has increased by about 4.5 degrees (Guggenheim). This may not seem like a lot, but on a global scale, it can have a huge impact. Global Warming is a serious problem, and it should be taken very seriously. Unless we take action now, we will have major consequences to deal with later on. These include, but are certainly not limited to, extreme weather, a decline in polar life, and effects on human health. It seems like Global Warming has become such a political issue that people tend to take a side based solely on the political party they support. This needs to stop. No matter where you fall on the political spectrum, you cannot ignore the facts. The temperature of our atmosphere has been increasing at an alarming rate in recent years. Global warming is happening, and action needs to be taken to stop it, no exceptions.…
