Modern Warfighting Theory

To study this battle brings understanding to principles of modern day US military doctrine and their practical application in the field. This study calls into consideration modern warfighting theory and doctrine. US Army warfighting capability has come a long way since 1871. For instance, the projection of force has advanced technologically, extending on a global scale. Sustainability in the field is less of a hardship than it was a hundred years ago. Yet, this is not to say there is not value in learning the fighting disciplines and doctrine of that era. There are many references to cover this topic with insight into what happened and why.
