Modern Day Slavery Research Paper

After many years, slavery is still a big problem to our society and keeps increasing each day. In some ways today slavery is different from the past but at the end it's the same thing, slavery. One of the main reasons why people get to join slavery is poverty. People in need of money get offered a job but don’t expect to be enslaved. Another reason is corruption by the police and the government trying to profit from slavery. There are many root causes for modern day slavery in which we are capable of ending it. We all know that slavery still exists because money and products are being produced for less money. I also believe that the government should get more involved so it won’t get worse and repeat some mistakes we made in the past. People have been creating anti-slavery movements and volunteering to protest and create a change. For example, National Human Trafficking Resource Center is a place to help report potential human trafficking activity. These is just one of few groups that are against modern slavery but still we all know that slavery is still a big problem. Modern day slavery such as drugs industry, clothing and jewelry are few of many types of slavery that our society still don't realize how big of a problem it is. I believe that if the government makes it priority to stop modern day slavery, these problem won’t keep getting worse. The problem for the government to support anti-slavery is money and other minor issues. The one thing that worries many people is that we will make the same mistakes we made in the past. Thats why its important for our our country to educate children of our errors made in the past as a whole
