Mockingjay continues right where Catching Fire left off. Katniss is extracted from the Quartell Quell along with others who were also in the Quarter Quell. One person who was not there was Peeta. Peeta is still missing, and Katniss is going to save him. Peeta sends the rebels a coded message warning them that the Capitol will attack them. The Capitol finds out, and responds to this by torturing Peeta. The Capitol continues the bombing of District 13 just as Peeta predicted.
