Misconceptions Of Pre-Med Students

There is a common misconception about pre-medical students that once they step foot on campus, they must give up all the fun activities not directly related to medical school preparation. According to this viewpoint, students must replace their hobbies with studying, volunteering, and research in their free time. While compromises must be made by any college student, this perspective is largely inaccurate and does not truthfully reflect a happy, successful pre-med student. A successful student is one who balances their schoolwork and medical school preparation with pursuing their own personal interests and having fun outside of school.
