Miracles: Pros and Cons paper is to share integrative analytical thinking about religious philosophy accompanied by biblical knowledge and basic scientific facts showing an insight of the writer’s main conclusions. Correspondence concerning this article should be addressed to Professor Stephen McClain, John Brown University, 200 2807 Ajax Ave, Rogers, AR 72758 Jesus of Nazareth was said in the bible to have performed over thirty miracles. All of the miracles can be broken down in classification of three categories, controlling nature, healing people, and raising the dead. The vast majority of his miracles were in accord with healing individuals, which seem to be his specialty. The purpose of the essay is to propose three pros and cons of why people should or should not believe whether the miracles actually happened in history. Throughout history there has been one sol book stating Jesus is God and being God gives him the ability to perform miracles. The bible claims Jesus healed the man with leprosy in Matthew 8:1-4, Mark 1:40-44, and Luke 5:12-14, which happens to be one of Jesus’s most renowned healing miracles. Also, the bible claims to heal blind men (Matthew 9:27-31), Peter’s paralyzed mother-in-law (Matthew 8:14-15; Mark 1:30-31; Luke 4:38-39), demon-possessed man in synagogue (Mark 1:21-28-28; Luke 4:31-37), Roman centurion’s servant (Matthew 8:5-13; Luke 7:1-10), etc. Healing the sick and diseased is nothing short of a miracle. The bible, undoubtedly, mention these acts as factual along with the other two categories. Surely, healing the sick and diseased is enough to claim the title of God, however Jesus Christ does not stop at healing. Jesus presumes to control nature. He controls the elements making up our material world inside the third dimension. He is described as a perfect alchemist because of his ability to show mind over matter by turning water...
